Ethan, Grayson and me were sitting at a booth in a café. Me in the middle, Grayson on my right, Ethan on my left. We were all laughing, sipping on the smoothies that we got after everyone had cleared their plate. Ethan laughed that beautiful laugh that I adored so much "so he had to ask every grandma we saw to slap him" we all laughed again. I knew most of their stories already because I watched their videos, but it was still enjoyable to hear them talk and I could see their eyes twinkle and their cheeks glow when I laughed extra hard.
I put down my smoothie and tied up my hair. I heard buzzing coming from Ethan's pocket "oh sorry" he said while taking out his phone. "It's mom" he said, looking at Grayson.

"Hi mom. What? Slow down, I- I don't understand...
Really? That's amazing!
Okay, okay yeah, we'll be right there."

"What?" Grayson and I said at the same time. "We need to get dad. ! The doctors say he is finally strong enough to leave the hospital , but we need to leave, now!" Ethan stood up. "E, we can't just leave her here." Said Grayson. "Hm, true..." Ethan mumbled. "How about you bring her home and I get dad?" "Yeah, let's do it." Grayson said, he stood up as well and so did I. Ethan pulled me to his chest, "Sorry I have to leave now". "It's okay, I understand" I said. "Go get your dad!" "You're right." He said and he quickly walked out of the café.

Grayson had walked over to a waitress and asked for the bill. He came back while reading it. "How much is it?" I asked, just out of curiosity. Grayson shook his head "No, you don't need to worry about that." "I won't worry" I shrugged "just tell me the price." "No." Grayson said, holding the bill high up, out of my reach. "Hey! Just show me." I laughed jumping to his arm, one hand on his chest for stability. "I said we would pay!" Grayson said, smiling down at me. "You can pay if you show me the price" I said, still reaching for the bill. Grayson took a step back "Just let me-" but then he slipped, tumbling backwards taking me with him in his fall. He landed on his back with me right on top of him, my nose to his cheek. We didn't move for like two seconds. We just lay there breathlessly, and let's face it, awkwardly. Than I lifted up my head and chuckled. He laughed as well. "I can't believe that happened... again" "yeah" I answered standing up. While Grayson was standing up I saw the bill laying on the ground, I quickly grabbed it with one hand. "Oh come on." Muttered Grayson.
I looked at the piece of paper in my hand "136 dollars?!" Flabbergasted I looked at the bill, at Grayson and back at the bill. "Who charges $136 for some pancakes and smoothies?" Grayson ran his fingers through his hair "we uhm, might have took you to the most expensive café in the country..."
I looked at him with an open mouth "you guys are crazy" Grayson bit his lip, "well, that's true. We just wanted to make sure you had a nice breakfast." He scratched his arm and looked away "We really like you... I- I really like you."
For a moment I had no clue what to say, I just chuckled. "Well I really like you guys too. Hanging out together has been awesome." Grayson smiled at me. He took out his wallet and grabbed a 100 dollar bill and a 50. He put both down while I watched.
He got his jacket, "c'mon I'm walking you home."

Walking down the street with Grayson was kinda fun. We talked and laughed about how stupid it was that we fell on the ground... again. Where the road split up into three other roads I stopped him. "What?" He asked as I looked up to him "I know a short cut." I said , with a hint of mystery in my voice. Grayson looked surprised, but excited "well lead the way" he said gesturing with his arm. I grabbed the sleeve of his sweater and pulled him into the bushes. "What the-" I heard him mutter. "Crouch down." I hissed while walking further into the bushes. Where the bushes ended stood a fence. I put my left foot on the bottom of the fence, and swung my other leg over.

As I jumped on the ground on the other side of the fence Grayson said "Is this allowed?" I shot him an excited look "nope." Grayson chuckled and jumped over the fence.

Shhgrr...

"What was that sound?" I looked around. Grayson had his hand on his back and his eyes widened. "Shit." He said "my sweater is stuck." "What?" I said, walking towards him. "Dude, can't you pull it or something? This is the property of the mayor!"
"What?!" Grayson hissed struggling to get free without ripping his sweater. "Yeah man," I whispered with a smile on my face "we need to get out of here!"
I had a hard time suppressing my laughter as Grayson made fish-like movements to free himself. "What will happen if we get caught?" He asked. "I don't know" I answered, "I've never been caught."

I turned him to the side and also tried to get his sweater off. "I think I almost got it, just hold st-"
"Hey who are you?!" I heard a man yell from a distance. "What are you doing?!"
"Oh shit, oh shit, oh shit." Grayson hissed. I pulled him towards me and his sweater made a loud ripping noise. Finally he was free.
"Come on!" I said, sprinting away.
The man came after us "Intruders!"
