Chapter Two

"Lord please save her for me...do this one favor for me."

Nate flight just landed and California was hot. It nice here it wasn't home though. He rented his car and drove to Stanford university, it was a big campus...he went to registration for his dorm.

"Hi welcome to Stanford University how may I help you today sir?" The lady asked.

"Uh I'm here to register for my dorm." Nate said.

"Name?" She asked.

"Nathaniel Fernandes." He said.

"Ok you have side B here are the keys and here's the rules, and have a nice first year." She smiled.

"Thanks." Nate said.

He walked away and grabbed his luggage.

"Nathaniel Fernandes...Played for the tigers in highschool?" Someone asked.

"Yeah that's me how are you?" Nate asked.

"I'm coach carter...basketball are you trying to play this year?" He asked.

"Yes sir." Nate said.

"Good good well I seen you play...you don't have to try out ya know." He said.

"For real?" Nate asked.

"Yeah see you in winter." He said.

"Thanks Coach." Nate said shaking his hand.

Nate walked away and walked to his dorm. He walked in and seen another  luggage on the other bed, he sat his luggage on the bed and sigh. He was looking through some old pictures of Bianca and him.

"Nate." Someone said.

"Tone what's up bro I thought you was going to Nyu?" Nate asked.

Tone shrugged his shoulders.

"Nah I wanted to be closer to home you know." Tone said.

"Man I'm glad you here." Nate said.

"Thanks man." Nate said dapping him up.

"So how you doing?" He asked.

Nate sigh.

"I miss her man." Nate said.

Tone never seen his bestfriend in this state. He wished he never came up with that stupid bet, now look at what is done.

"Don't even trip man she'll come around." Tone said.

"Yeah if you say so you like the campus?" Nate asked.

"It's tight big as hell though." He said.

Nate nodded.

"You meet the coach yet?" Nate asked.

"Nah did you?" He asked.
