Chapter Twenty-Nine

Bianca held her stomach as she knocked on Ms.Fernandes door.

"Hey Bianca are you ok? What's wrong?" She asked with concerned in her voice.

"Just cramps uh is Nate here?" She asked.

"Yeah he's asleep you can go on up we'll catch up when you wake back up." She said.

"Ok goodnight Ms.Fernandes?" Bianca said as she jogged upstairs to Nate's room.

She opened the door as another painful sharp hit her stomach.

"Ahhh." Bianca tucked her lip in as she groaned.

Nate opened his eyes to see Bianca clenching her stomach with her eyes closed tight.

"Baby what's wrong?" He asked as he sat up.

"Cramps are killing me they get 10xs worser everytime." She groaned and fell on his king size bed head first.

"You've had these cramps for a month now baby I think we should take you to the doctor." Nate suggested.

"Shh Nate I'm trying to sleep this pain off can you rub my stomach?" She asked.

Nate sigh and lifted her shirt up rubbing her stomach.

"Did you eat alot today?" He asked.

"Not really." She mumbled.

Nate frowned Bianca belly was flat but it was rock hard.

"Shh baby it'll be over soon." He mumbled in her ear as he rubbed her stomach.

The next day.

"Nate it's to early to go to the doctors." Bianca groaned.

"I don't care you barely got any sleep last night due to the pain." He said.

Bianca stood up and rolled her eyes.

"So babe it's just cramps." She said.

"Whatever Bianca get dress so we can go." He said.

Bianca sigh and got dressed they were soon walking into St.Francis hospital.

"Hi how may I help you?" The lady at the desk asked.

"I'm here for a quick check up." Nate said.

"Name?" She asked.

"Bianca Sheppard." He said.

"Ok just go have a seat and a doctor will be with you shortly." She said.

Nate nodded and him and Bianca sat in the waiting room.

"Can I have a dollar?" Bianca asked.

Nate handed her $5 and Bianca ran to the vending machine.

"Sssss ahhh." Bianca groaned dropping her snacks.

"Baby." Nate ran to Bianca side.

"I'm fine I'm- ahhhhhh." She screamed in agony as she dropped to the floor.

"Just hold on baby I'm going to get a doctor." Nate said.

Bianca layed on the floor in pain as everything was becoming blurry.

"Miss what hurts?" A faded voice asked.

"Miss can you hear me?" Another faded voice asked.

"N-Nate." She stuttered.

Everything soon went black.

The next day.

Bianca eyes blinked rapidly as she adjusted to the light. She heard a heart monitor and seen her friends and family members asleep in different parts of the hospital.

She tried to speak but instead she started coughing rapidly. Nate immediately woke up, he ran to her side and held her hand.

"Baby are you ok?" He asked.

Nate gave her some water as everyone surrounded her and she sat up.

"I'm so glad you're ok pumpkin." Samuel said as he kissed her hand.

"Right Jon and I were worried about you." Brandon said.

"Right had me scared girl." Jon said.

"Wait what happen? I'm confused." She asked rubbing her temple.

"Uh I'll go get the doctor." Nate mumbled.

He soon came in with the doctor who check Bianca vitals and began telling her why she was in the hospital.

"Ms.Sheppard you were pregnant a month and a half, you miscarried." He said.

Bianca swallowed the lump in her throat and nodded for him to continue.

"The cramps you have been feeling was the baby growing the bigger he got the more it would've been painful." He said.

"What about the blood I thought I was on my period." She said.

"No sorry, it wasn't your fault Ms.Sheppard you did everything you could have done we removed what cause the baby to die which was a tumor and you can still have children." He said.

"B-but could I have did anything to prevent it?" She asked.

"No you did everything you could have sorry for your loss." He said.

Bianca nodded as he walked out.

"I'm sorry pumpkin." Samuel said.

"You need anything?" Melanie asked.

"I just want to be alone thanks guys." She said.

Everyone left except for Nate, he wanted to be there for Bianca as much as he could.

"Let it out baby." He whispered in her ear.

She began letting the tears fall on Nate's shoulders.

"I'm sorry I didn't know I was pregnant I'm sorry." She said sobbing.

"Hey don't apologize...we can try for another one in about three or four years." He said.

Bianca sniffed and sigh.

"Promise?" She asked.

"Promise." He said.

He pecked her forehead and sigh before laying in the hospital bed with her.
