anaya decided on wearing a creme bralette and shorts, along with an shawl, her dark hair pulled back into a pony tail. she got to the cafe and sat down at a seat near a window, crossing her legs as she waited for cody. she ordered a coffee and scrolled on her phone for a bit before he sat down in front of her in a black shirt and a smile.
"hey," he said, "you look good."
"thanks," she replied, "you too, your eye doesn't look too bad."
cody ran his fingers instinctively over his face and nodded, "yeah, i put some raw meat on it, like in the movies."
"ah, i thought that was a myth."
"no, evidently not," he answered smiling, glancing down at the menu.
"this place has really good-," she started.
"salads?" cody cut in, "yeah they're pretty good."
"yes, and sandwiches," anaya agreed, "i'm thinking about getting a salad today. what about you?"
"uh," cody continued to look over the menu, "i'm actually not hungry."
"then why are we at lunch right now?" anaya asked.
"i mean, i kinda wanted to see you again," he shrugged, "i'll order something if it'll make you feel better."
"i don't care if you eat or not, but go for it," she laughed a bit.
