Even I Need Love

Chapter 5

Max's POV

~Few Days Later~

We all have a routine going now and at the moment things are great. We are all getting along and its just great. Right now I'm having to juggle spending time with everyone, going to school and working. The girls are dropping out like Ronnie did a while ago. As of right now he works more than I do, but I miss a good bit of school to work because we are trying to be abale to keep up our lifestyles. Living the way we do doesn't come cheap, but we manage.

Today I was planning on maybe taking Phoenix out on a date, but she doesn't like to do much so taking her somewhere special is not easy. "What do you want to do tonight?" I asked Phoenix looking down at her eating cashews in my lap. "Whatever you wanna do babe", I sighed knowing the conversation wasn't going to go anywhere. "I have to punch the prime minister" Phoenix said getting up and heading for the bathroom. thats how she says 'I have to pee' shes uh unique, but I still love her. "Hey Max" I looked over at Willow. "Hey Willow. Wait Willow, what would be a good date idea for Phoe?" She snickerd. "Honestly Max throw some pillows in the floor, put on a movie, give her candy and shes happy". I couldn't help but laugh a little "thats actually not a bad idea". She smiled and carried on with whatever she was doing.

Finally Phoenix returned from her bathroom trip, she sat down next to me focusing back on the tv. I got up to go talk to Willow again. I walked to Ronnie's door knocking on it, "put some clothes on guys I'm coming in". "Oh haha Max". I didn't have to see Ronnie to know he was rolling his eyes. "Okay so can you guys go out later so I can watch a movie with Phoe?" Willow perked up, "awe are you doing the pillow thing?" I blushed. "I'm going to go out now and get stuff, do you think later you can take Phoenix somewhere so I can set up?" I'll just tell her she can do my date makeup and you know she won't pass up that opportunity." Willow smiled. "That works, I'll be back in a bit." I grabbed my keys, "Phoenix I'll be back later," I yelled loud enough for her to hear. I heard a faint response as I shut the door.

I decided wawa would be the best place to go. I grabbed some gummy worms and a caramel coffee for her. I also ordered her their mac and cheese and quesadillas because she loves both.I got things for me too, I paid for it all and stopped by Blockbuster. I couldn't decide between 'The Ring' or '8 Mile' so I got both, so she can choose. I went back home to find the living room empty, I put my bags down and started for Ronnies room but I met him first. "Oh hey dude, Pho started Will's makeup a bit ago but knowing Phoenix you still got about a half hour". "Okay good thanks man". I walked back and started taking the cushions off the couch, I sat them around the floor and threw some blankets and pillows on top. I sat out the food and made sure everything was still hot, now I just had to wait for her. After a bit of waiting Willow came out fully made up with Ronnie closely following. "Phoenix is picking up her makeup she will be out in a minute". They left without another word.

When Phoenix came out, she was in pajamas and her hair pulled back in a simple bun, she was actually wearing her glasses, but only to cover the fact she had no makeup on and still she was the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. She had a look of awe. "Max what is all this?" "its our date, here are our movie options", I showed her the two movies. "I don't like scary, but I feel like Willow will want to watch 8 mile with us so I guess the ring it is". "Its okay I'll protect you" I said teasingly. I put in the movie and handed her the food I bought. "awhh you didn't have to do this!" 

The movie was great, my favorite part was when something would happen and Phoenix would tense up and move closer to me, it was a innocent fun which felt really good to have.

We decided to watch 'Big Trouble in Little China' after it.(my favorite movie.)Ron and Will came back not to long after we started it, so we all sat and watched it together. This is what its like to have good friends to share pure moments with, it was complete bliss.

"How close were you guys to Nick and Jared?" Phoenix asked. Ronnie answered, "close but not that close, we hung out a bit but they were more like friends of friends." "Well atlest you guys weren't too close." Phoenix sighed a little. "Remember though, everything happens for a reason. We were all destined to meet each other. " Willow said before giving Ronnie a peck on the lips. Phoenix half smiled, "I feel like we all have a fate that we are destined to follow and we're all constantly falling in it." She shot up. "Hey, 'Falling in Fate' that could be your guy's band name!" Me and Ron gave eachother a weird look, and Ronnie let out a laugh. "Hmm maybe" he said.
