Abed heard his parents arguing, their voices were getting too loud for him. He covered his little ears and tried to block out the noise. But he felt he couldn't escape the noise surrounding him, he walked to the kitchen where there was a back door that led outside. He reached for the doorknob and managed to open it. He stepped out into the dark, starry sky and ran outside, barefoot in the grass, he tripped again, getting a scratch on his cheek, as well as getting his clothes and face muddy. He sat by the one tree by the corner of the backyard. He could sit behind it and nobody would see him. He curled up by the tree and began to cry, he had never seen this before from his parents and he was scared, he didn't know what else to do.

After a while, Abed heard his parent calling for him, they looked around the backyard but never saw him behind the tree. It was getting late for Abed, but he didn't want to go back inside. So he made himself comfortable in the grass and closed his eyes, drifting off to sleep from exhaustion.

"I'm calling the police, he could be anywhere by now!" Malina said in a panic. "Malina, no, don't call the cops, I'm sure he's here, we just have to look harder" Gobi said, feeling that calling the police would make them seem like horrible parents. Malina ran outside into the cold night, "Abed! Where are you!" she yelled, extremely worried. She ran down the sidewalk, before on the other side of the tree, she saw her little boy, sleeping peacefully in the grass. Malina let out a huge sigh of relief, "Oh Abed, " she said, scooping him up in her arms and bringing him inside.

"I found him" Malina whispered as she entered the house. Gobi also sighed from relief, "Malina, I am so sorry I yelled at you like that, It's just th--" Malina cut him off. "I forgive you Gobi, but right now why don't we just get to bed, okay?" she said, tiredly. "Okay," Gobi said, leaving towards their room. Malina took Abed to his bed, and placed the covers over him gently, going to the bathroom and running some warm water over a washcloth. She then went back into Abed's room, cleaning the dirt and scrapes from his face, before she gave him a kiss on the forehead. "I'm sorry" she whispered before shutting off the lamp and closing the door to his room.
