Melanie felt like the world was toppling down on her. She was helpless.
"2 days suspension for you. And more if you keep this sort of behavior up. Now finish your school day and your suspension starts tommorow," Mr. Isaacs sighed, "I will call your parents later."
Melanie was shocked. She could not be suspended! Her mother would be so angry!
"Please, Mr. Isaacs, isn't ther any comunity service I could do instead? Please?"
"Well then, I guess you could cook for the soup kitchen. We have kids volunteer to work there every Wednesday after school, after school. You would have to do that for about two hours every Wednesday, 3 times. I know you are a good girl. I won't call your mom, as long as you do what I just said. Now go back to class before I change my mind!" Mr. Isaacs hollered. Melanie was thrilled! She was actually excited to fufill her punishment, as cooking was her life!
