Chapter Five- Max Is Getting Worse

It was the next day and Daniel was first to wake up. He stretched and went out to change. After he left the room he saw David, fast asleep, on the couch with his face buried in his arm. Daniel blushed and quietly mumbled "Awwww". He then shook his head, and went to the bathroom to change. When he finished he took a seat, unsure what to do next. After awhile, David woke up. He got up, stretched, and yawned. He then saw Daniel sitting on a chair nearby, playing on his phone. "Oh, good morning Daniel!" David said happily. Daniel looked up from his phone. "Oh, Good morning to you too David." Daniel smiled. "Usually I'm the first one awake." David chuckled. "Oh, well I guess I beat you too it." Daniel joked, causing the both to laugh a bit (Kiss already damnit) "Well, I'll change and then when Gwen wakes up we can go get you a bed while she watches the campers!" David happily announced. "Oh, alrighty then." Daniel smiled. While David went to change Daniel played Beat Stomper on his phone, it was a fun game, it had catchy dubstep playing in the background as the player tried to get as high as they could. It had boosters and goals to unlock new songs. Just as he was about to beat his record David left the bathroom in his uniform and handkerchief tied loosely around his neck. "Alright Daniel, for now let's go check on the campers!" David said leaving the bathroom. Daniel jumped a bit at the sudden shouting but quickly recovered. "Oh, okay." Daniel got up from his seat and followed David to the mess hall. "Alright campers, when Gwen wakes up Daniel and I have to leave to get a few things so please be on the best behavior, and yes that is mainly directed at you Max!" David announced happily, a few campers, and Daniel, laughed when David mentioned Max. Max growled annoyed at the mention of him, elbowed Nikki and Neil in the gut for laughing with some of the others. "Owwww. Max c'mon it was funny!" Nikki complained. "That was kinda rude Max..." Neil joined in, running where Max had elbowed him. "Whatever." Max responded. After a bit Neil asked "So, how do you guys feel about Daniel joining us, for good this time?" Neil asked. "I think he's fine! It might be fun too!" Nikki said. "I think he's cool" Spacekid joined in as the other three groaned. "I hate him." Max complained. "Why?" Nikki asked. "He tried to kill us!" Max shouted. "So, clearly he doesn't want to anymore!" Neil replied. "I don't care! I want to get out of here not die!" Max slammed his fists into the table, clearly still angry. "Even if he doesn't want to kill us anymore he's probably gonna act like David! I don't want to deal with TWO David's!" Max continued. Nikki and Neil just shrugged. David and Daniel were chatting and laughing together as the campers chatted amongst one another. Max then got an idea. Once David and Daniel came back he would dump something on them. What, he didn't know yet, but it had to be disgusting. Maybe road kill? That was gross enough. Maybe just the skunks hit by cars? No that was too stinky for Max to deal with. Maybe one skunk. Yeah. One skunk and a bunch of bloody road kill. That would definitely scare Daniel off.

When Gwen came to the mess hall, David dismissed the campers to go and play and left with Daniel. Max managed to sneak away and get a bucket. "Max, what are doing with that bucket?" Neil asked. "I'm gonna fill it with road kill and dump it on Daniel." Max told him, picking up a dead animal and throwing it into the bucket. "What?! Why!?" Neil asked, both disgusted and scared for Daniel. "Because he's probably used to bloody things and guts with what he does, and it'll chase him away." Max answered calmly, picking up another dead animal and putting it into the bucket. "What if you get it on David?!" Neil demanded. "Aw well." Max shrugged, looking for more animal carcasses. "MAX! EVEN IF DANIEL COULD STAND IT DAVID IS WAY TOO SENSITIVE!" Neil shouted. "ARE YOU TRYING TO MAKE HIM KILL HIMSELF!?" "Kind of." Max admitted calmly. "MAX" Neil scolded. Max just shrugged as Neil left, probably to tell Gwen.

After awhile Max had filled the bucked at got into position. He heard the door open and someone talking, it sounded like Daniel, so he poured the contents of the bucket onto the man below, campers gasping as he did so.
