It was the next day and David had calmed down fully, although he did have nightmares about it. Max was named from all camp activities, especially the ones he actually liked. Nikki and Neil stopped hanging around him and everyone glared when Max got too close to David. Daniel stayed near David at all times, except for when one of them had to use the restroom. David hasn't talked at all since the incident and wasn't as chipper as he normally was. Everyone was concerned. Even when Mr. Campbell came David didn't say anything or run up to him. Daniel didn't quite understand but when everyone, except Max, look concerned he also started to get Concerned. "Gwen, is something wrong with David? And who is blonde boy?" "Well, the Blonde is our newest counselor, Daniel, and well about David-" Gwen started. "Max poured roadkill over David!" Spacekid tattled. "Oh." Mr. Campbell didn't seem all that concerned, which pissed just about everyone off. Daniel lead David into another room and the campers followed, knowing what would come next. Gwen scolded Mr. Campbell for not showing any concern. "HE LOOKS UP TO YOU AND WHEN YOU SHOW UP ANS HE DOESN'T EVEN CRACK A SMILE THE LEAST YOU CAN DO IS SHOW SOME CONCERN!" She finished. "Oh... well... I am, very concerned!" The man lied. "OH SHUT UP AND GET THE FUCK OUT OF HERE! THE ONLY PERSON WHO THINKS YOU CARE ABOUT THIS PLACE IS DAVID! EVERYONE ELSE KNOWS YOU ONLY COME HERE TO HIDE!" Gwen scolded. "Fine fine, goodbye" Mr. Campbell said, mumbling "Bitch" under his breath.

A few hours later David finally started talking again, but not as much and his happy tone was missing. Even Max was starting to get concern and regret his decision a little. David stayed close to his co-counselors, and even started backing away when Max wandered a too close to him, which got everyone a little angry with the boy. Once Max purposefully got really close and David hid behind the nearest person, being Daniel at the time, for Gwen was trying to get Max to back off and leave poor David alone. After the campers were sent to bed the three of them changed, one at a time, and headed to bed, Daniel and Gwen reluctant to leave David alone, fearing Max would do something else to the already traumatized man.

The next day was the same, and so was the rest of the week. Max had dumped the roadkill on David Wednesday and it was now Saturday, David was talking more but he still avoided Max and his happy tone was still gone. Gwen has had enough of Max 'accidentally' wandering over near David and scaring the man. "Daniel, take David away from the camp for a bit okay? Give him a needed break." Gwen ordered. Daniel nodded and lead David out to the car and drove out of camp. "So, David, what do you do when you take a break from camp?" Daniel asked. "Well, I normally go camping..." David answered. "Really?" Daniel asked, baffled. David nodded. "Well, then lets go camping!" Daniel said with a smile. "Okay." David agreed
