Location: Alphagoth
.
Alphagoth, the home of the most peaceful creatures in the universe....is under attack!
Brimstones flooded the sky as it threatened to crush the inhabitants of Alphagoth ruthlessly. Fire and piercing screams fills the place. Everyone tries to run away from the attackers and try to find haven but they seemed to be everywhere . The attackers..the men in silver armour riding on their horses and some of them launching these brimstones.King Tartus didn't like this. Didn't like this at all!
He watches as the soldiers of Alphagoth march out of the palace courtyard. He also watches as they are slaughtered by their enemies.
His jaw clench hard. These enemies were once allies. Allies who he had maintained balance with. He knows exactly what led to this merciless war but he did not see the war coming this fast. Those greedy..humans. Cared about nothing but themselves. Becomes to over ambitious in time and feel they can dominate. His hands tighten at the rage. He should be out there fighting. He is royal blood after all which is an advantage because he posses magic. Magic that runs through their veins from generation to generation and now the grand king Donald wanted it. The monarch who rules his land of humans. Donald and Tartus were good friends. In fact, that made it easier to keep peace between both worlds. They held markets and festivals together and all seemed well. It has been so for decades and there was really no need for soldiers to master the act of fighting. Of course in previous years, king Tartus already prepared for the battle would ensue magic to his soldiers so they can defend. As time went, he notices Donald's keen interest in magic Andrew slowly he became more curious.
Curious as to this magic he posses. He saw all the wonderful things Tartus could do and wanted it like a baby wanted a lollipop. Tartus explained to his friend that it would be impossible since he is not from Alphagoth and not royal blood. Donald didn't take this lightly. He is never refused what he asks for and he always gets what he wants."Burn it all. Burn it all down!" Another command rises up from the turmoil and fire. Tartus couldnt watch his people die. He goes back into the room and paces around.
"Our people are dying" the soft voice said. He turns to look at his beautiful wife, queen Miranda.
"I know" he says coldly, his eyebrows knitted in anger.
"You wont do anything?"
" I am doing something. Our soldiers are doing their best out there.."
"Tartus.." Her voice carries pain.
"Miranda, i cant leave you..." He moves to the cradle at the far end and looks into it to see his sleeping daughter. Her shiny hair spread across her face and she happens to be in a sense of heaven when the whole kingdom is in disarray. "Or her.."
He holds his wife's hand and gives it a squeeze. "I must protect you.."
"Protect the people. You have magic. You can end this..""But.."
Miranda plants a kiss on his lips and smiles sadly.
"Let our daughter know her father is a hero."
Tartus sighs. She has won.
"Please stay safe, my wife."
With these fleeting words, Tartus dashes out of the palace.
"Please stay safe my husband" she whispers to his disappearing shadow.

The golden sun has risen. The evening has began but the smell of fire and flesh still stung to the air. Troops of soldiers came back into the palace to receive medical treatment. She hasn't seen Tartus since he left. She becomes agitated.
