I knew for sure by the features that he was male. I watched intensely keeping my head low. He couldn't See Me, I'm sure. The dark sky only allowed me see his outline. I watched.
Was this a human?
I thought they would look more.. I don't know.. Intimidating!
Or scary and ugly. Disregarded by Mother Nature but to my surprise, he looked like.. Me. An Alphagothan.
I watched him more. What powers did he posses. Could he break the barrier?
Is that why he's here?
It was darn dark. I couldn't see anything.
But I was indeed fascinated. These mere creatures.. How did they kill mother?
As far as I know, mother's magic was really strong.
I sigh. It was useless watching the mortal.
He made some ruffled sounds. And I couldn't hear him because of the barrier. Then he looked straight at me. He was saying something. Maybe a spell?
I took on my heels and got into silver.
I think I've had enough fresh air for one night. The route I took in the evening, has been temporarily closed due to the night plants in the night valley so I had to pass through the village.
The village.
The closest I've been to the village is from the royal court yard that was miles away from the market.
Thankfully, I learnt one spell correctly.
No, it wasn't an invisible spell but it would suffice.
"De kloaka!" I blurt. Soon I feel soft fabric on my head. Yes cloaks are very useful.
I pulled the fabric close to my face and shuffled my hair into it. If anyone saw my hair they'd know it's me and I wasn't in the mood to cause a commotion.
I took a deep breath as I began to go home.
????????????????????????????????????
The village surely did beat my imagination. I didn't think it would be like this. The village resembled.. The town just without the many infrastructures. I am welcomed into the entrance of the village with empty market sheds that are lined up in rows. The woods, old and crooked and the iron sheets, unbalanced. I move in through the middle of the stands and sheds.
I can't see much because of the dark skies but I can identify the roads and shortcuts. Just a little beyond me, I see people not much of a great multitude but were not little nevertheless. Everyone was smiling and chattering away. Sometimes I wished I could be amongst them. I mean they never needed to learn magic. That's enough bonus points for me. I wasn't too stupid to pass the main roads and luckily, Alphagoth was filled with shortcuts everywhere. As I passed slowly, I saw a display of fire at the square. It fascinated me and I drew nearer to see more. Few people were circled around. I didn't want to create attention so I tied silver to a wooden stall. I cover my hair properly and head into crowd. There were a group of dancers tapping their feet to tambourines and drums. Every step carried life and might I say I was deeply carried away. Soon the dancers spread into the crowd each picking a dance partner and soon exchanging them again I grew giddy but I began to fret when a hand pulled me close. It is a girl. Her hair is as red as copper and she had deep brown eyes. She had freckles just around her cheek and had a round face . She was indeed very pretty. I got the hang of it making sure I didn't step on her toes what not."I've not seen you around this parts. Are you a traveller? "
I grew nervous. Only if she couldn't talk.
