Location : Alphagoth

Eight years later.

The big green meadows.  The flowers here were amazing,  every flower with its unique vibrant colours.
Kayla loves this place.

This was her place.

Now,  here she was in the middle of the open fields whirling around with the breeze.  Today,  she was not alone. Her father,  the Gracious king of Alphagoth, king Tartus had also joined her to receive this scent of freedom.  He is a busy man .after all he had a whole kingdom to look after but he in the most generous way that he could, chose to accompany his daughter.
Tartus was also amazed by the vast land. Daisies,  red wild flowers, tamed roses, white auroras littered the place.

Kayla is still whirling around as if in complete peace with the world. After a few whirls, she bumps on the ground and let's out a cherry giggle while rubbing her butt cheeks. You'd think she'd had enough but she stands up and continues to run around as the wind dances along with her light dress.

Tartus loved a good day but he by all means must go back to his kingly duties but he would have to take Kayla along.

Give her just a little more time.

His small voice tugs him.  He smiles to himself.

"Kayla my dear.  I want to go into the town to see the people.  You'll be alright,  yes? "

Kayla smiles back at her father. Her blue eyes filled with confidence "Of course Papa,  I'm a big girl you know."

Only if your mother could see you now.

This caused a kind of unexplainable feeling in his chest.
He sighs "of course you are.  OK,  I'll see you later. Stay where Mario can see you. "

She nods excitedly.

Mario the grim man in a bronze armour stood close to the horse he had rode to accompany the king and his daughter. He was assigned to watch Kayla and ensures she does wound up in some trouble that little children often end up in. In other words,  he is the babysitter.

Kayla sits on the grass and plays with a daffodil intertwined with her hand.
Her necklace glittered in the sun. Her mother's necklace that is.
She stands up.

"I'm going for a walk! " she yells.  Mario nods. She grins and walks away.

"stay where I can see you Kayla! " he yells back.
She was already walking away.

She playfully walks away with a hum to a beautiful song. She loved this place. The serenity, the bloom of colours,  the.. She trips on a rock.  Well that's one thing she doesn't like.  Dusting her floral gown already sprawled with dirt, she notices something she had never seen. It glows. It's blue. It's.. Large!

Her feet think before her and move her towards the direction of the blue stuff.

So there she stood.  In front of a big blue force field.  It was mesmerising.  Simply beautiful. Why had she never seen it before?

It drew her. Something about it fascinates her.

Just a touch.

Her hand was reaching for it.  Midway, her hand was yanked.  She stood face to face with her father.

"Papa.. "

"Don't papa me young lady!  What happened to staying close to Mario."

He pauses obviously holding up his wanton anger.  Soon he breathes out in whispers coldly "You can never come here again"

"But papa.. " she squeals.

"Not another word. "

He carries her from her waist and fixes her perfectly on his horse. He  joins and gets into the horse.

They get to their rundevu point where Mario was keeping "Kayla" safe.

Red stains filled his face when he sees the king with his daughter.

"Sire.. "

"Get into your horse.  We are going back to the castle. " king Tartus deadpans.

He bows in respect and saddles up.

After some minutes of riding,  Kayla is still very silent.

"Kayla.. It's for your good."

she murmurs stubbornly.  He sighs. Such a handful.

"what was that?  That blue wall.. "

They strode into the castle grounds now.

"a force field. A boundary " he replied.  Still contemplating if he should tell her more.

"so there's another side?? "

"Yes. "

She seemed giddy.

"can I go?.. "

"No! You must never cross" he snapped.

"but.. "

"Kayla this discussion is over. "

Kayla keeps shut.

They enter into the castle doors and Kayla strides reluctantly behind her father.

On the hallway were pictures of their family and it's lineage.  There was one that she loved looking at.  It drew her.

A woman with fair and beautiful skin
She wore a shimmering green dress that complemented her crystal like blue eyes. She wore a crown just like the other maidens hanging on the wall but she wore hers more with Sophisticated grace. Her blonde hair packed up into donut but tiny curls escaped from the rear. There was a glint of love in her eyes even when she had a stern look. Her mother.

Tartus never stopped Kayla from ogling at the beautiful portrait.

"She was beautiful.. " she says absent mindedly.

"She was. "

Tartus smiled sadly and turned away.  One more look and he may end up crying like eight years ago which of course would do no good to Kayla.

. He would make sure she was kept safe.  If she ever did cross the boundary, they would kill her and Without mercy! As long as Donald lived, he was sure that he would have her head hanged. He would not let that happen and as long as he lived, Kayla was not passing that boundary. He looks at her one more time.

"You're never crossing that boundary.." he whispers to the wind.
