The Bodyguard ~

"Miss. Kirra James, do you have any solid leads in the murder of your brother Daniel and his wife Samantha James?"

"What will happen to their children, Asher and Benji James?"

"What will happen to the James Shipping Company?"

Kirra James was bothered by nosy reporters trying to get the latest scoop. Her bodyguards pushed and made a path for her to safely exit the courthouse.

"Miss. Kirra James, is it true that Daniel James was having an affair with his PA?"

Kirra stopped dead in her tracks. In a blink of an eye she punched the female reporter in the nose. "Let this be known. My brother, Daniel was a lot of things but one thing is for sure, Daniel was faithful to his family! Have some respect for the dead!" She yelled. Her personal bodyguard, Aiden Mason grabbed her by the shoulders and ushered her to the black SUV. She cried into shoulders, soaking his suit with her salty tears. Aiden carefully wrapped his strong arms around her in a comforting manner. The driver casually looked into the mirror watching Aiden. Kirra wept, falling asleep.

"Aiden, you know that's not in your job description." The driver said.

"Yes sir." Aiden replied but continued to hold Kirra James.

The car came to a complete stop outside of the building she lived in. She lived in the top most floor. Aiden volunteered to carry her all the way up.

As they entered the elevator, Kirra mumbled, "Aiden." She nuzzled into his chest. Aiden sucked in a breath. She slowly opened her eyes. "Hi."

Aiden chuckled, "Hi. You uh fell asleep in the car and I-"

"Thank you A-Mr. Mason." Kirra wrapped her arms around his neck.

Aiden cleared his throat, "Miss James-"

"Kirra. You've been my personal bodyguard for more than two years. Please call me Kirra."

"Miss-," Kirra gave him a pointed look. "Kirra, that is highly unethical. I cannot call you that."

"When we are alone then." Kirra demanded. Oddly enough, she wanted Mr. Aiden Mason to call her by her name.

"As you wish Miss. Kirra." Aiden answered. He couldn't allow anyone to know he called his boss by her first name. The elevator opened upon reaching Kirra's floor. Both Aiden and Kirra were gazing into each other's eyes oblivious of the man with flowers in his hand watching Kirra hold onto this man who was holding her in his arms. He cleared his throat.

Kirra snapped her head toward the man waiting in her house. "Apollo?" Aiden Mason carefully placed her back on her feet.

"Kirra?" Apollo, an idiotic, stuck up, jerk who changes girl just as much as his hairline does. He was thirty-six and he constantly tried to take Kirra out who was only twenty four. Kirra's mother would flip out with joy if Kirra married Apollo. He was the face of a multi-million shipping company. Also known as her brothers best friend and partner in James Shipping. Daniel wasn't a fan of the idea of Kirra and Apollo together but after their mother gotten to him he was all for it.

"Mr. Apollo Nixon, I hate to interrupt but I must ask how did you get in? For security reasons of course." Aiden asked. Kirra couldn't help but notice how Aiden looked slightly angry.

"Ah and you are?" Apollo bit out.

"Aiden Mason, Miss. James personal bodyguard."
