Andrew rounded up about 20 men to escape the others were just scared. They left the camp and went into a cavern near  where Andrew lost his plane to the anti aircraft gun. Other wise where his friend plummeted down to the rocky bottom. Andrew took out his flare gun which he picked up at the camp. Then they heard the roar of planes and a motor of the boat. "The planes are for covering fire, the boat is for rescue." Andrew said."let's go"they yelled in unison. They marched down to lake that the cavern lead to,stumbling over craters for by artillery that missed the fort that both sides were fighting for. They finally made to the lake shore where they swam in the muddy murky water for a couple of meters. After they climbed up on the back of the boat, the 25 men that decided to go lived through the journey to rescue were speechless that they actually made it out alive of that wretched forest. On the way back to An Allied quarters there was an explosion that sent some people over board and some flown into the sides of the boat. The explosion was an artillery shell that hit the cavern floor, causing rocks to fall into the chasm.
