It's been about a month now and my wound has almost healed. George and I were sitting on the couch as Ava sat in the middle of the floor and played with her toys waiting for her mother to pick her up.
"I gotta admit," I said. "She is absolutely adorable."
"She is, isn't she?" George asked.
I nodded as we watched her play barbies. They both have welcomed me with open arms into their family and I couldn't be more happy. They've helped me heal and have made a huge impact on my life. The band, the guys individually, Ava, the gun shot, and my lovely best friend, Sam. I couldn't be more satisfied with my life... well... except getting shot, but, I did it for the one I cared about.
"Thank you," I said looking at George. "For everything."
He smiled and pulled me close. "Why are you thanking me?"
"Because you stopped that day to see what was wrong with my vehicle instead of passing me and going on," I explained.
He smiled and kissed my forehead. "No need to thank me sweetheart. Thank you for blessing me with your existence."
I smiled and gave him a kiss. Ava said eww and covered her eyes. We pulled back and smiled. A knock was heard at the door and I looked at George. We both got up and walked to the door. George opened the door and Asia was standing there in the doorway. She looked at me and gave me a hug.
"You must be Lilly," she explained. "Ava wanted to meet you so badly when she found out you were with George. She said you were beautiful."
I smiled, "and it's so nice to meet you. Ava tells me so much about you."
I told George that I'll go and get Ava and he nodded. I walked into the living room and kneeled down to Ava's height.
"Your mom is here to get you," I said looking at the adorable little girl.
Ava smiled and I picked her up and grabbed her bags. I walked back to the doorway. Asia smiled at me.
"She's taken a liking to you," she said with a genuine smile.
I smiled as I looked at Ava and tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear. I followed Asia out to her car. Before I put Ava into her car seat, she gave me a kiss on my cheek. I looked at her and smiled.
"I'll see you next time," I said kissing her forehead.
She smiled as I buckled her in. I shut the car door and gave Asia a hug before she got into her car. I looked at George who put his arm around my waist and pulled me close. As Asia pulled out of the driveway, George and I waved as the car disappeared into the distance.
George spun me and dipped me over his arm giving me a kiss. I laughed as he pulled me back up and we walked back into the house. Just then, George's phone began to ring, he picked it up.
"Hello?" He asked.
"Oh, so you want to start now?- ok I'll be there in about 10- alright, see you soon."
I looked at him with a questioning look.
"The guys want to start on our new album," he explained. "And they want me at the studio. Now, when I get back, I want to take you somewhere nice. Dress nice, I'll be back in 2 hours."
He gave me a kiss and I nodded as he walked out the door. As the door shut, I walked upstairs to the bathroom and took a warm shower. I made sure I put a bandage over the shot wound and wrapped myself in a towel. I walked to George and my room. I walked to the closet and looked for some nice clothes. In the time George wanted me to come back, I didn't get to have nice clothes. I turned around to see a box laid on the bed.
How did I not see that?
I walked over to the bed and opened the box. I pulled out the packing and was completely in awe.
I pulled out the white dress and found a note.
I was going to save this for your birthday, but this occasion fits this dress. Hope you like it.
~GeorgeI smiled as I dropped the towel. I put underwear on and a bra. I then put the dress on and looked into the mirror. I spun around and smiled. The dress was beautiful. I grabbed my white chuck taylors and paired it with the dress. I curled my hair and put on minimal makeup. I took a picture and sent it to Sam and got immediate approval. I smiled. I couldn't take my eyes off my dress.
I heard the door shut downstairs. I walked downstairs to see George in a tux. He left in sweats though. I shook my head and slowly walked down the stairs. I watched as his eyes light up when he saw me. He held out his hand as I reached the last step. I took it gently and he guided me out to a really nice car. It looked to be Dylan's car, but I shook it off. He opened the passengers door and I thanked him as I sat in the seat. He shut the door and walked over to the drivers side and got In and started the car. We started down the road.
We were getting towards our destination and George made me put on a blindfold because the destination was a surprise. Completely blindfolded, the car comes to a stop. A hand guides me out of the car and up a hill. We stopped and an arm wraps around my waist. I feel the blindfold loosen and as it fell, I couldn't help but be starstruck. We were above the Hollywood sign looking over the city. The night sky lit up by the city lights. I looked at George.
"It's beautiful," I said.
"Not as beautiful as you are." He said smiling.
I smiled and gave him a kiss. A long, loving, tender, kiss.
"Why'd you bring me up here?" I asked.
"So you can make up your mind if you want to stay here or go back home to West Virginia," he explained. "Have you made your decision?"
I nodded, "I think I'm going to stay here."
George smiled and kissed my cheek. "I love you Lilly."
My heart stopped and butterflies filled my stomach. He loves me. I gently place my hands on his face and looked into his blue eyes. I pulled him in and kissed him.
"I love you too," I smiled.
And we stood there for hours watching the city light the sky up with the beautiful lights. I never want this moment to end. As we walked down to the car, George spun me and dipped me over his arm and gave me a long kiss.
"I love you my darling butterfly," he said in a sweet tone.
