WILLA SAT ON THE FLOOR OF THE FIRE ESCAPE OUTSIDE OF HER WINDOW. It was a spot she often spent time at because she was away from people, but had a nice view. It also added an element of danger to her life, which she had to admit, she liked.

The wind blew her short hair into her face. She tucked her hair behind her ears and gazed out at he skyline. Dark clouds full or rain threatened to spill over the city.

As she sat on the metal base, she reflected on Phil's visit earlier that night.

Her breathing was shaky. She closed her eyes, counted to ten, then opened her eyes again. She thought about what life would have been like if she was still with SHIELD, or if her parents hadn't left her.

A tingly feeling began to spread through her hands. She glanced down and saw that the lines were glowing, and were more prominent. Immediately, panic filled her. Her chest tightened, her head spun, and she felt like she was going to throw up. She reached forward, her hand searching for the railing, or something to hold onto. She grabbed the rail and ducked her head, trying to breathe, trying to stop the panic attack. She felt out of control, and terrified.

A hand on her back startled her, but after a second, she forgot it was there because her mind was stuck on the panic running through it.

"Hey hey hey. It's gonna be okay. Breathe. Look at me. Hey." An unfamiliar voice said. Willa didn't recognize it, but it sounded as if the speaker were her age or around her age. "Breathe. In, out." He said. She did as he instructed, but it didn't really help. "What's--your hands! They're glowing." He exclaimed. She abruptly stood up straighter and looked at her hands. They were glowing more than they had been previously. They felt as though they were asleep; the pins and needles feeling.

"Leave." She whispered, trying to calm herself down enough to control whatever was about to happen. She glanced back and saw a stranger clad in red and blue spandex with a black spider on the front. He wore a mask, so she didn't know who he was or what his reaction would be until he spoke.
