CHAPTER 4.1: TUKLAS HIMIG

Music Room......

When I entered the room, himala parang ako nalang ang hinihintay ah.. All of the members in our chorale are almost present..

Anyway, ako nga pala ang President ng chorale namin dito sa university. Amazing di ba? Haha! Hindi kapanipaniwala.. XD

All of a sudden, Jess, one of the key singers in tenor group, told us that he will be one of the contestants in the tuklas himig singing competition that will be held in AU - Pasig. They were all convincing me to represent our department or our organization. But.. Na ah! Ayaw!!

After our Table Napkin and Events Management Seminar, bigla akong kinausap ng adviser of our department - HRM .. Si Mr. Alejandro Rosales, but everybody calls him "Sir Andrew".

"Di ba kumakanta ka?"

"Opo Sir.. Bakit po?"

"Halika. Sunod ka muna sa'kin sa faculty."

kinabahan ako.. Ikaw ba naman kausapin ka ng adviser niyo ng biglaan kasi si Sir Andrew, masungit.. Strict pero sa tamang oras at lugar. Pag studies, studies Lang..

Sumunod ako sa kanya but when we have reached the faculty room, I stopped and decided not to enter.. Tapos when Sir Andrew went outside, shekwa naman oh. He forgot! Haha! Then nung maalala na niya, we went inside..some of the faculty members are there including Sir Mac.

Sir Mac is the Program Chair in our department. At crush na crush ko siya! Oh my siomai! Maputi siya, matangkad, matalino and he is a good singer!

"Sir Mac, yan yung kasali sa choir, Baka pwede siya."

What the?! O_O anu merun? Ibubugaw ba nila ako?! HELP MEEEE!!!

"May competition kase sa AU Pasig.. It's the tuklas himig.. Kailangan natin ng representatives from our department."

Nagtinginan yung mga students na kinakausap ni Sir Mac.. Sabay sabi . . .

"SAMPLE!"

Nganga! >.< Oh my gee! I dunno what to do .. Hindi naman ako pwede sa mga competitions especially singing competition! Kaloka!

of course I defended myself, "ay sir.. Hindi ako pwede ee."

"bakit naman?"

"Dahil nga po sa president ako ng chorale dito sa University, hindi po ako pwede, kase po may mga other responsibilities po ako. Kailangan ko po umattend ng mga practices namin which is everyday po yun."

Magaling Magaling Magaling.. 3:)

Ampupu.. Bigla ba naman sumingit yung adviser ng dept. Namin...

"Ako ba prof mo sa Western Cuisine?"

"Uhmmm, Opo.."

"Ano schedule mo sa'kin?"

"Ngayon po, thursday 1-4."

"Eh di ngayon ka mag-practice. Excuse ka naman ee."

Oh my siomai! Ayoko nga!!!!!! >.<

"Hindi talaga ako pan-solo sir ee, merun naman ako kilala Sir. Ka-choir ko rin si Josh."

"Oh sige na nga. Dalhin mo siya dito bukas."

"Sige po." :P

When I went out of the faculty room, I saw my former co-member in the chorale, Garry, he was one of our key singers in tenor, I immediately went near him then ask,

"Garry, gusto mo sumali sa Tuklas Himig?"

"Ano yun?"

"Singing contest. Ako kase sinasali nila e hindi naman talaga ako pan-solo, may price yun 4,000 yata yung grand champion. Gusto mo?"

I impressed him. HAHAHA ^_________^

"Sige. San ba yun?"

"Wait. Punta muna tayo sa faculty room."

And hell yeah! May papalit na sa'kin! ^______^ v

Faculty room...

"Sir Mac, si Garry nalang po isali natin sa Tuklas Himig. Magaling po siya." ^____^

Then he asked him if he really wanted to join the competition and Garry answered with confidence..

"Opo pero di ko po mapa-promise na mananalo ako. Try ko nalang po yung best ko po."

"Oo naman. Sige bukas tayo mag-start kase malapit na yung competition."

"Sige po. Anong oras and saan po?"

"Sa office nalang ni Sir Andrew, mga 4 pm."

"Sige po Sir."

after the conversation, we went out of the faculty room and I immediately went to music room where my choir mates were waiting for me.

Nakaka- loka Lang kase bakit ako ang napili nila? E ang dami namang mas magagaling pa kesa sa'kin. Siomai talaga!
