"Lucy-nee! I finally found you!" a voice shouted, followed by fast foot steps.

Natsu turned to Romeo just as he ran into the little grove they were currently in. Romeo ran forward when he noticed Lucy resting in Natsu's arms. "What happened?" he asked, stroking Lucy's hair.

Natsu sighed. "She saved me. I would've died if she hadn't killed him...." he murmured, slightly guilty that he was cause of her killing her own brother.

Romeo frowned. "She promised herself to never kill again..." Natsu whipped his head in his direction, surprised by his words. "She's killed before?" Romeo nodded but said nothing, thinking it should be Lucy to tell him about her past, and no one else.

They silently made their way out of the forest. The whole time all Natsu could think about was what his parents told him. Lucy was always protecting him, ever since the beginning. That scar that ran down her back, was from protecting him. Her going insane, was because of him. He couldn't help but wonder why he was so important to her. Granted she had known him since he was a baby, but to go to the lengths she did to ensure his safety was more than he could understand. Just what made him important to her?

When they reached his house he invited Romeo inside since he was gonna have his mother heal Lucy. Romeo accepted and together they walked inside, a more comfortable silence than before hanging over them. It wasn't like they didn't like each other or they didn't want to talk, it was just that a lot had just happened and they were both too deep in thought to really say much to each other.

Natsu walked over to the corner and typed in the pass-code, the padlock making a noise indicating that it was unlocked. They walked in and Grandine and Igneel shot up, wanting to see how it went. They frowned when they set their eyes on Lucy's exhausted face. "Natsu, I know how much you want her by your side, but you need to hand her over so we can check it out." Igneel said slowly, knowing how protective he was of Lucy the first time she got hurt.

Lucy cracked an eye open and jumped out of Natsu's arms, landing gracefully on her feet. She spun around and hugged Romeo close to her chest, breathing out a breath of relief. She turned her head to Natsu and stared, noticing a change in him. She reluctantly released Romeo and walked over to Natsu, pulling his shirt collar down so his face was level with hers. She narrowed her yellow eyes as Natsu opened his into hers. "What?" he whispered.

Grandine and Igneel exchanged looks and eyed Romeo, silently agreeing to give them their privacy. "We're gonna go check Romeo out, just to see how he's doing." Igneel said, and backed away from the pair until his back hit the door. He rushed out, Grandine and Romeo following right after him. They made sure to shut the door behind them, knowing Lucy could hear their breathing patterns so it'd be useless to try and spy on them.

"They were so obvious." Natsu chuckled, scratching his head.

Lucy tugged his shirt collar down even more, the force from her hands causing their noses to touch, making Natsu blush madly. What is she doing? Is she gonna kiss me? No complaints here if she is....wait....no I have to win her over not the other way around! I'll just wait until she says something...yeah...

"You know." she stated, releasing him and backing up.

Natsu quirked his eyebrow at her. "What are you talking about?"

"Paladon." she curtly said. She avoided his eyes and leaned against the wall, staring at the ceiling. She didn't want him to find out the way he did, she would've rather told him herself. But she couldn't blame his parents for wanting to be the ones to tell him either. They were his parents. They had more right to the past than even she did. They had every right to tell her not to tell him.
