"Ding ding ding, a body has been found!" It was Monokuma on the loudspeaker.
I couldn't look, I didn't want to believe it happened again. One of us was a murderer. I knew Ryan wasn't it, he was with me the entire time. But who did it?
"Who would do such a thing?" Angelly said.
     "A sick person." Brian said.
"James," It was Ethan, he was screaming. "Who did this to him? I'll, I'll kill you!"
"We don't know who did it." Lizzy said.
"So we have to find out." Marvin said.
We searched for clues while Lizzy was calming Ethan down. I felt bad for him. Ethan and James were best friends, from what I could piece together, someone bashed his head nearly open with a wooden club. The club was a table leg, and the bookshelf for the algebra textbooks were scattered all over the room. I only knew one person who came to this room. I looked at Julia, did she do this? I needed more evidence than that.
"This sucks," Destiny complained. "I thought he was cute."
"What sucks is that he's dead," Brian said. "I thought this was going to end."
Then I thought maybe Brian did this, if he could swing a bat hard enough to hit a home run he could kill a person. But I put that thought to rest because James's head was bashed multiple times for the head to be almost split. Someone pretty weak could have done this.
"Hey," Ryan called. "Look at this."
Scattered away was a little notebook. I picked it up and it said: "My Personal Pick-Up Book". It belonged to James, but why would he be reading this? He was probably studying some lines in here to get a girlfriend or to seduce this girl. I read some of it and he was trying to seduce a girl, but who?
Then, almost 2 hours were up when I found a knife, James's pocket knife, it was dented, and a self portrait of himself, it wasn't to good but it seemed pretty good. But it was under a book shelf, the one that seemed to be hit by James before he died, like he was pushed. I was about to tell everybody when Monokuma was on the load speaker. "Times up! Everyone report to the elevator!"
I shoved the knife in my pocket, then folded the paper with the self portrait on it and put it on a different pocket. But why was it hidden?
We traveled to the basement and took our places. Now 3 black and white portraits of the dead students took their places. I looked at the one with James. Don't worry, I'll find your killer.
"Let the trail, begin!" Monokuma shouted.
"What we found was the murder weapon and James's little notebook," Julia said. "It seemed he was attacked by the girl he was trying to pick up."
"It could've been you," Brian said. "You would be the only one in that algebra room."
"But I could've also been you," Julia said. "You could have wanted to frame me and your only strong enough to bust a head open."
"You're wrong," I shouted. This got everyone's attention. "It couldn't have been him! The head took a lot of blows to be almost split open. But you're right about the suspect being female."
"No," Lizzy said. "It has to be him, I mean, if the suspect was weak then how did she pull the leg of the table?"
"I never said the suspect was weak," I said. "No one had said that."
Lizzy went quite. She knew something. Then it hit me.
"We're you the girl he was hitting on?"
     "No."
"You're wrong! The self portrait was drawn by him, trying to impress someone with his skills, you."
"He never asked me to be there!"
"You're wrong! You were there because that book had lines to impress some one like an artist, you, so you decided to meet him there."
"That can't be, how would I be able to push him at the book shelf? I'm too weak."
"He was seducing you! You pushed him because you hated it, he must of fell back wards and hit that bookshelf. You tearing of the leg off that table was with this pocket knife." I pulled out the knife.
"Where did you get that?" She seemed surprised to see me holding it. She did it. Got you.
"Found it under the book shelf, you hid it there knowing if someone found it they'd know it was you!"
     She went pale.
"You slammed James on the head multiple times, finding your chance to kill him, you killed James!"
     "N...nn...no I didn't."
"Everyone agree with me?" Everyone did.
"Is that your final answer?" Monokuma asked.
     "It is." I said.
"Correct," Monokuma exclaimed. "Lizzy! Game Over!"
"Noooooooo! I didn't do it!" Lizzy screamed.
"There's no use," Ethan said. "You murdered my best friend!"
"Lizzy," Amanda said. "How could you?"
"I didn't mean to!" Lizzy screamed.
Monokuma slammed the button with his hammer, grabbed Lizzy, and dragged her to her punishment.
***************************************************************
Monokuma tied Lizzy to a pole. "Anything to say to your friends?" Monokuma asked. Lizzy said nothing, she was crying.
"Let the punishment, begin!" Monokuma shouted.
Monokuma jumped next to us and pressed a button. Lights went on and fired paintball guns. They began shooting at Lizzy. They were brushing and making her bleed. One got in her eye, blood and tears porting from her eye. She was screaming in agony. Calling for help, but was nothing for us to do.
After the guns ran out of ammo, Lizzy was bloody all over, her shirt stained. "Now for the gran finally!" Monokuma shouted. Lizzy looked at him with her good eye. "N..n...nno. Pl..p...please."
Monokuma hit a second button, dropping a huge paintball, it slammed on Lizzy, she was gone. I heard bones crunch and there was blood and guts on the floor, I was gonna hurl, but Amanda and Destiny did that for me. Brian looked like me. Everyone else's face went white.
"Well that was fun," Monokuma said. "Now off you go!"
***************************************************************
I lay on my bed playing on my Game Boy. Why did this have to happen again? Then there was a knock on my door. I didn't want that person to be there.
     "Go away!" I shouted.
     "K5 it's me, Amanda."
     "And Ryan."
"Don't forget about me!" It was Marvin.
I let them in, they were pretty close to me, but I trusted Ryan more than all of them.
"I'm sorry about Lizzy," I told Amanda. "I know you guys were best friends."
"We were," Amanda said, tearing up. "I was hoping maybe for a new one?"
I didn't know what to say, I never had real friends. I was an outcast at my old school. No one talked to me. But I was going to be invited to a school in Japan for the talented, but when a new one opened in New York, I was for sure going there, and now I regret my decision, here, people are killing each other.
"Can you have 3 best friends?" Marvin asked.
I couldn't help but smile. "Sure I can." I said. We all hugged. I was happy, for once I had friends, people who I can trust. I just prayed we'd all stay alive, and I prayed I could escape with them. We'd get out of here, I was sure of it.
