Thursday morning***

Emily woke us up saying we only have to clean before we leave. It's really the least we could do for her aunt's house since we were staying there. I look up to see George peeking down at me.

"Oh stop I look like crap," I mutter.

"You look amazing, as always," he replied.

"Eh, look at you, looking at me,"

We both get up and get dressed. I decide to get ready facing the drawer in one corner with him in the other. As I pull my shorts up, I catch him subtly peaking. We made eye contact, I smiled and let out a little chuckle as we both got back to changing. Emily had ordered from the local diner to be delivered to the house. We all had a BLT and hash browns and orange juice from the fridge.

"Why did both of you guys sleep in my cousins' room? There is another empty room right next to it," Emily pointed out.

I looked over at George and he grinned, then winked at me. He said that he wanted to take care of me because I was talking in my sleep. Talking huh? This is completely new to me. I was kind of taken aback before he explained.

"Yeah, you were saying how 'he's coming after you' or something,"

Hmm, 'coming after me' huh... Who knows... Eh... I won't look into it. Maybe it won't come back to haunt me.

"So junior year huh? We're almost out of school, you know. It's really shocking how these past few years have just gone by unnoted. Whoah, this summer is our last while were still in school. After senior year, it'll just be life after graduation. No summer, just life," I said.

George and Emily looked at me as if I had just killed their dog.

"Yeah, you're right. This is our last summer. we're only on spring break, but it feels as if last spring break was only a month ago. We don't have as much time as we thought," remarked Emily.

"We have so many things to experience, yet so little time left," said George.

We all sat in shock. There was a long day of nothing to do ahead of us. The TV in the living room has Netflix and Hulu on it so we helped ourselves. Any show that would take any this seemingly endless boredom.

I have to take my chances. The fact that neither George nor I had asked each other out officially crossed my mind. In such a fast-paced world, I should slow down to really appreciate those there for me. I really do see myself with him in the future... I don't know... time will tell... it always does. A lot of the time I think about making it official with him. It's what I want. I want to ask him out somewhere. Make it a special night. He deserves a good time.

"Em, do you know any good diners around here?" I asked as I threw away the trash we had left on the kitchen island.

"Yeah, I think there's one next to the place where I got the food from. I'll take you later if you want," she replied.

I gave her a look and said that I wanted to take George out. I want to make things official and what better time is during the break.

"Yeah, okay. I'll send you the address," she added.

George was in the living room looking for something to watch on TV. I sit down next to him and lay my head on his shoulder and hold his hand.

"Do you want to go to dinner with me at this place Emily knows? It'll be cool. So?"

"Sounds cool. I'm in if you are," he replied.

I walk back to Emily in the kitchen. She's on her laptop browsing Amazon.

"So, he said yes. What do you think I should wear?"

"I don't know. Why are you worrying so much? It's just a little date."

Hmm. She's right. It's George for god's sake. I knew him all the way through. He's just a big softie. I have no reason to worry. I go back to him and just lay my head on his lap.

"You excited for tonight?" I ask.

"I'm pretty anxious-- he replies-- I'm going on a date with this cute guy. Maybe you know him; his name is Adam,"

I blush a bit before burying myself in his arm. This was it. He was all I wanted. All I ever knew about love. Sure, I'd been with other guys, but never like him. It was never like him. I knew tonight would be perfect.
