"Camie,  for everyone here, please take your make out session to a different room," Madison said, twiddling away on her phone. Camie pulls away from Jess to stare at Madison, their eyes connecting.
"Fine, fine," Camie gave in. She wiped her face with her sleeve while she cuddled with her boyfriend. They've been together since fifth grade when they figured out they were each other's soul mates. Lucky bastards.
"Thank you," replied Madison, smirking for a moment before being engrossed back into her mobile. I look over to Jacob, who's happily writing away in his book of dreams. They talk everyday, it's like he spends more time in the book then the world. I mean, I guess I understand, it's his soul mate. Her names Emma, and she lives in Canada, 1000 miles away from us.
"Jesus Ems, what land are you thinking about over there! I've called your name three times already!" Andrew called out. My head shot up as I looked at him. At his big, beautiful eyes... Snap out of it!
"Sorry! What's up?" I said, hiding my thoughts into a lock box, that's in another box, that's thrown into a back room of my mind, trapped away.
"I was wondering if you wanted to go get lunch with me, I want subs but Mads wants pizza, and I don't want to go alone. Come with?" He asked. I froze. Hes been my friend all my life, and i'm still frozen.
          "Sure!" I fumbled out.
"Great!" He responded, getting up and walking over to me. "Lets go," he said. I got up and we walked out of the cafeteria. Juniors were allowed to leave during lunch, but just like always, I had to show my student ID to prove I was of age to leave.
"You're so short, they always think you're a freshman,"  Andrew said with a laugh. I mocked his laugh sarcastically, making him laugh more. He had a perfect laugh. Low, husky, really sexy. Everything about him was like that though, perfect.
"It's so nice out today," I said in an attempt for conversation.
"Yeah, if you like cold and rainy. Fall suck, winter sucks, the only good seasons are summer and spring."
"You only hate winter and fall because soccer is a summer sport," I said. He's also athletic. Anything this boy can't do?
"Yeah, you're right. Summer is a better season though, even without soccer." He said, putting his hands into his pockets and looking at me as we walked.
"I just can't agree with you there. Winter and fall are my favorites, hands down." I said, stopping at the bend in the road and looking for cars before crossing.
"You're crazy," he said back. The fallen leaves cascaded a deep red and green through the ground, creating almost a path, an invitation. I jumped into a small puddle on the side of the walkway, splashing Andrew a little. We walked in content silence till we arrived to the sub shop. We were regulars there, so we didn't even have to order before sitting down.
"Okay. I need your help with something," he said. He grabbed my hand in his and looking into my eyes. "I... I dont know what to say..." he said. I sat there, very confused as this boy held my hand. I got my composer together before saying anything.
"With what? Are you okay?" I asked seriously. He let go of my hand, and I let it fall in my lap. He rummaged in his bag that I hadn't noticed he'd brought with him. It was brown and dusty, id never seen it before. He brought out a book and spun it around to me. It was a light crimson, almost like the leaves I mentioned earlier. He put a pen down next to the book in front of me and just sat there. I looked at the book, and had a realization.
"This isn't..." I said, picking it up.
"It is, and I dont know what to write in it." He responded. I looked up to him, totally consumed in his expression. He needed my help. Talking to his soul mate. If that's not a stab in the back, I dont know what is.
I spun the book back to him saying, "Have you tried saying hello?" He simply spun it back.
"You're better at these things then me Amy... I feel like saying a simple hello makes me sound... I dont know, I just need help. You're so good at talking to people, you have to help me!" He exclaimed. I looked into his chestnut eyes, trying to resist. This is going to tear me apart, I know it is.
"...Fine, fine. Just, start off with a hello, maybe tell them your name?" I suggested, pushing the book back to him. "Okay," he responded. He quickly wrote it down with his black pen, leaving the book in the middle of the table. We both eagerly watched it, waiting for a reply. One of us was waiting for their love, the other for their demise. Yet, neither got a response, because a response to the book wasn't given. I silently said my hallelujahs as he closed the book and put it away.
"She's probably busy or something, who knows," he said, a pinch of disappointment in his voice.
"Probably," I said. Our subs came, and we ate and chatted quietly with each other. We ran back to school in attempt to make it on time, but we were a millisecond late. "Moms gonna kill me, again," I said, taking the detention note from the woman at the front.
"Just tell her you were with Andrew, she loves me," he said with a smirk as he walked the opposite way as me.
"She's not the only one..." I murmured, walking into class.
