Jade had gotten to school just as the bell rang and she had met Perrie at the gate waiting for her. They had made their way to the building only to find a thick crowd of kids gathered around a small table. Jesy had apparently been beating a boy up. When Yoongi detained her and sent everyone to class Perrie had ran off in fright.
The small brunette ended up in an almost empty hallway with Leigh-Anne who seemed stunned. Ray Ray had asked Jade if she wanted to walk Leigh to class and Jade had answered with a nod before she could fully think things through.
So now here she was standing outside of Leigh's classroom with a silent and thoughtful Leigh. They could both hear whispers coming from the class. The word 'Leighade' floating out of people's lips.
"So eh . . . are you okay Leigh?" Jade asked softly.
Leigh-Anne sighed. She looked into the class. It seemed the teacher was late so the class was just whispering among themselves, about her. She looked at Jade. The girl seemed pleasant. Not at all like she hated Leigh-Anne. "Are you okay? You yelled at me the other day but you're still being nice." She said.
Jade blushed and shrugged. "I could never stay mad at you."
Leigh frowned. "But why?"
Jade looked to the ground. "Is it weird? I'm sorry . . . I just thought even if you don't like me . . . we could still be friends? I mean it doesn't matter if I'm just . . . another one of your admirers. I want to be here for you. 'Cause even if it wasn't on purpose you were here for me."
Leigh blinked away tears. "Jadey . . . Please know that you are very special to me. I want to be your friend forever. I'm sorry if I love so many people deeply but each of you are special to me. I love you. I don't want you to feel like you're not important. You are. You're very important to me Jadey."
Jade blushed and nodded. "You make me feel special Leigh . . . I didn't really mean to say that you don't care about anyone. It's just that . . . well you make us all feel really special at the moment we're with you then it's like we realize that that's how you treat us all . . . I'm not sure it's really a bad thing . . ."
Leigh sniffed. "But . . . you're very special to me."
Jade shook her head. "Leigh it's okay. I understand. This is not a problem. I understand who you are and I'll always love you. I want to be your friend forever too . . . y'know unless you ever want to be more than . . . friends." Jade gulped. "But that won't happen so . . . we'll keep being friends. Best friends."
Leigh sighed in relief. "Oh Jadey thank you." She hugged Jade tightly.
"No problem I guess." Jade shrugged sheepishly.
Leigh grinned. "Now you just have to make up with Princeton."
Jade's face went a deeper shade of red. "Right . . . that."
"Look I have fixed her for you. She is as good as new . . ." Yoongi appeared next to them with Jesy trailing him quietly, her small hand in his. "For now." He added almost silently as he looked at the blushing girl whose hand he did not want to let go.
"Jesy!" Jade said wrapping her arms around Jesy tightly.
"Hey there babe. Everything alright?" Jesy asked in her usual charming voice. Her face was still pink. Stupid Hotman. My face is warm.
Jade nodded. "I kept Leigh company." She looked around. "But I'm super late for History."
"Have fun learning Jade!" Leigh waved as Jade scrambled away. She looked at Yoongi and Jesy. "Everything okay?"
