I continue walking foreward looking around and i see the blinding lights from the watchtowers,forming artificial daylight around me.Its Dark out so i can barely see a thing beyond the light,since my eyes haven't adjusted to it.

I turn around as the huge eerie Gate is slowly closing,can't help but feel that once they shut im a gonner.Its high and black with sharp points on the top like a wicked kings crown. It also has scorched areas from when Flamers try to get in.The the thought only makes me even angrier.I glance at Kal And see him looking into my eyes and then i smile at him.

I can do this.

I can do this.

For him and me.

For James and my sister and my friends and non blood family.

For all the ones i love.

It should only take about A week or so right? Ill be fine.

I reasure myself right before im about to step out from the light into the blackness beyond.I glance around notice the dirty redish sand around my feet and the dead bushes,of which half are visible and the other is in the darkness.I look at the darkness around me. It almost seems like im under a spot light and when i go into the dark im gonna be dead.Lovely thought.

I shake my head determined suddenly to get this over with.Here we g-

Something catches my eye and i immediately feel my heart start to increase and my plunger raises to my eye level as i scan around me looking through the glass targeting system.

I hear Kal ask me whats wrong frkm behind me.I ignore him and keep scanning silently. I see movement again only its not where i thought it was so i shift my gun in that direction and i know somethings out there now.

The Guards must have saw it too because i hear them shift their plungers in the direction im looking.We all stay quiet and i suddenly second guess my descion on going alone.

Im scared.

"Zara..what is it?" Kal ask and his nervousness isn't hidden when he speaks.

I dont answer. I keep looking around, i can still see movement. There is movement but farther back now and after a few minutes of silence, me and the guards put the guns downslowly,hesitantly,still unsure.

If it was a flammer than i would have saw the soft red glow of there heart,ribbcage,ears and paws.If its a human than thats worse since only the cleans arent rapist or killers.

Id rather Flamer than a human who escaped the jails after they were left to die.Those humans tended to be saveges.I dont blame them for being crazy. I blame them for killing rapping and kidnapping innocent people though.

I swollow thinking of being rapped or killed while im out therealone.OH god please let it be a Flamer instead.

My heart rate is still beating hard but i shake it off and turn around with a huge smile on my face trying to persuade myself and them that everything is fine while looking at Kal,Crystals,and James faces.

Crystal,my sister, looks like shes already had a panic attack.James and Kal keep a close eye on me and ask what i saw. I shrug casually but feel my hand tighten on the trigger slightly as turn back to look at the darkness briefly.I know i saw something and i just pray it was a rabbit since rabbits dont flame.There bodies are to small to handle the heat i guess.

" I honestly have no-" i start to answer but as soon as i turn to answer Kal light from fire,or better yet a Flamer glows behind me.

I turn around just as The poddle jumps at me and in split second i duck down and roll under it shooting the chemical out of my plunger as i regain my shaky balence,barely noticing the scream i let out.
