Chapter 6: Oh boi

Talon:

I jumped onto the couch, silently waiting for Penny to leave her room. I saw her peek through her door. Now was my chance. I ran to the door. Then Penny showed up.

"Where do you think you're going?" she smirks crossing her arms gently.
I started to hesitate. She didn't know, right?
"Uh," I replied looking around.
I saw Penny swipe her hand, only a few statics of electricity came out.
"What the-" she sighed.

Penny:

My Codex wasn't working properly. I let out a frustrated sigh and sat down on the couch. I looked back and saw the door swinging frantically. I rushed to the balcony. I held my breath, then I let it out.

"TALON!!!" I shouted in anger.

I saw him running away from the apartment.

"Oh, so that's how he wants to play," I smirked.

I rushed to the exit and ran faster than I ever ran. Surprising.

"Talon you get back here RIGHT NOW!" I yelled in a frustrated way.

Then he stopped.

"Nah, I have something better to do," he smiled using his jet boots to fly away.

"Haha!" I heard him laugh. Then I saw his boots stop working. Oh boy he's going down down down down down down. I ran straight to him. Then I suddenly forgot about the whole chasing fiasco.

"Talon?" I shouted.
"Oh hey Pretty Pen," he replied.

I looked to my right. He was hanging upside-down from a tree.
"I'm ok," he yelled.
"The blood rushing to your head is not," I smiled

"No, I really am good," he said swinging frantically.

I rolled my eyes and rushed towards him.

I pulled out some branches and he fell head first from the tree.

"Uh Talon are you ok?" I sat down next to him.

"Maybe a little bruises," he smiled looking at me.

Our heads slowly leaned towards each other.

"Eww stop!" I heard a familiar voice come from the bushes.

I saw a head peek out from a bush. I saw a chestnut bun, a smirking face...

WTFudge it was Kayla!

"Uh, Kayla? I thought you were at home?" I replied crossing my arms.

I blushed a little when I realized i almost kissed Talon. I don't know If I should thank her or get MAD at her.

"C'mon Talon let's go," I frowned while pulling his arm.

"Hey Penny! Text me when something happens between you two! And I mean something! Sooommmeeeethhhiinnnggg," Kayla yelled.

I knew what she meant when she said 'something'.

I swiped my arm, giving my Codex another try. Yes! It was working!

Oh shoot.

"Pancake," My Codex read.

"Talon we have to go NOW," I frantically screamed.

"What, why?" He questioned.

"Just follow me! It's urgent!" I yelled.

We got back to HQ. Then I saw chief just standing by the wall.

"Penny," he walked towards me.

"I'm afraid that Gadget has a lot of glitches in his system. The mechanics are trying their best to speed things up, but it just turns out like chaos," Chief said looking at the smoke come out of the room.

"I'm afraid we might not see him again," he replied looking down and walking away.

I got out of HQ.

"Talon, my uncle has a little malfunctions in his system," my voiced  choked up in tears.

"And... and..." I couldn't go on. I couldn't say more. The thoughts in my head stopped me from talking.

"Penny let's go home and talk about this," he smiled.

I wiped a tear and slightly nodded.

I sat down gently on the bed.
I was waiting for Talon to come.
I saw him walk to the room and sat next to me.

"And and.... and chief said we may.. May..  not .. see.... him.. AGAIN," I cried  chocking in my tears.

I look at Talon's face for a while.

I saw a tear come down. I wiped his cheek. He smiled.

"Oh Penny," he cri.

We hugged tight.

I may not see my uncle again, but he'll always be in my heart. And maybe Talon, too.
