Chapter 11: At Ze Hospital

Talon:

Seconds felt like minutes, and minutes felt like hours.

It was like I was asleep for days.

But actually, it was only for a few hours.

I woke up to a sharp pain coming from my body. My eyes shot up in an unexpected way.

I felt a soft hand grasping mine.

"Hey Penny how's it going?" I smiled weakly.

"Oh you know, it's going fine, w-wait, you're awake!" Penny smiled in a pleasent way.

Dead silence filled the air for a while.

I started tapping my fingers.

"Awkward," I mumbled.

"What?" Penny replied with a straight face.

"N-nothing!" I muttered.

God

I marveled at the view.

"Don't you just wonder," I teased.

"Hey!" Penny blushed slightly.

"I said that last time," Penny blushed harder.

"The view is just-"
"Stop talking personal!" Penny wailed.

"Penny," I said groggily.

"I might-"

"Don't you dare joke around mister," Penny snapped.

I sighed,"Penny, I might stay here for a while," I continued.

"Oh," I saw a tears running down to her cheeks.

"At least I have you," Penny grinned.
"No, you have me," I smiled.

Dead silence filled the air once again.

Penny started crossing her arms.

"So," Penny replied cluelessly.

"So," I repeadetly said.

A few hours passed, and it was already night.

I started tapping my fingers again. It was getting pretty boring.

I turned towards Penny in an uncomfortable position.

"Watcha doing?" I teased.

Penny was sitting quietly on her chair, swiping her Codex left and right, until my voice surprised her. She shrieked, trying to get up.

"Nothing!" She scoffed.

"Oh and by the way, who's William?" Penny smirked.

I opened my mouth, but nothing came out.

"He's, he is," I muttered.

I turned away from Penny.

"Come on, Talon, I know you guys are relatives," Penny smirked.d

"Whaaaaatttt?" I scoffed.

"We are not relatives, you see, I've never met him in my life... plus he's the nephew of my uncle, Dr. Claw and that can't be-"

Penny gasped in a loud way.

"Ah- ah- you just said it!" She stammered through her laughs.

I turned back to Penny.

"Haha you caught me," I smiled sarcastically.

"Wait, why were you asking?" I bit my lip trying not to sound like my uncle.

"Because, I know him!" Penny blurted out.

"Ah-ah- you just said it!" I mocked Penny.

I bit my lip again trying to hold in my laugh.

Penny started to jab a finger at my face.

"No. More. MESSING AROUND," Penny yelled.

"Geez, okay Ms.-"
Penny looked me in the eye.
"-Penny?" I smiled weakly.
