i woke up with the familiar sound of an annoying alarm next to me , rolling out of bed with nothing but my boxers i lazily walked towards the door grabbing a shirt on my way there

i walked out my room to be greeted with my room mate and brother, ashton

"morning, bub"

ashton looked up at me for a brief second sipping his cup of what i assume was coffee whilst reading a book

"morning, ashton"

i smiled at him walking towards the kitchen to grab myself a bowl of cereal and a cup of tea since i wasn't a huge fan of coffee

i walked to sit beside ashton to eat my breakfast in peace trying to enjoying my morning

"how was the job interview?"

i looked towards ashton who had his glasses slowly falling from the bridge of his nose and wearing nothing my his sweat pants

"hmm? oh that.. i mean it was alright but if i don't get the job theres always the coffee shop across your uni"

"ash.. you didn't study at uni for years just to become a barista, i'm not letting you not get that job, you've wanted to work as an writer ever since you learned how to write"

i chuckled remembering the times where ashton would show me his stories and read them to me for my bedtime stories

just as i finished my sentence ashton got a phone call

"hello? yes? are you serious? oh my- thank you! monday? yes of course- thank you again!"
