Nine Flowers

Chapter Thirteen

You hit the floor with a heavy clang and gasped for air as all the wind was knocked from your lungs.

"(Y/n) move!" Helena screamed. You had just enough strength to roll over so you weren't impailed on one of Roses' many sharp appendages. You pulled yourself to your feet and weakly ran around the metal arena, Helana fired off more bullets. The artillery ricochet off the monsters skin and you had to duck so yoy were shot in the process. You dived down covering your head as a bullet flew by, whizzing by close enough you heard it.

"Jesus Helena watch out!"

"I'm sorry!" She called as she ran up a ladder. The monster Rose was now chasing her around, trying to climb after her with her many spider legs.

"Liillyy..."

You used the wall for support and looked to the monster as it climbed the ladder. You saw the remains of Roses' human body dangling, but still attached, to the back end of the monster she had become. Her arms swung and her head was intact as she spoke in a distorted deep voice.

"We have such high hopes Lily... Won't you just do what she wants... We need you Lily..."

"(Y/n)!" You were snapped away from the human form by Helena's shouting. You looked up at the Cat walk and saw the woman running towards you. "Bullets aren't working its just a waste of ammo!"

You regained your senses and climbed another ladder to meet up with Leon's partner. Rose screamed up at them and found her ontot he cat walk, luckily on the other side.

"You spent some time with her! Surely she has a weakness!"

You looked around wildely, the adrenaline pumping through you made it hard to think. "Well- ah the only time I attacked was with a wooden stick! And it was in her back- I stabbed her!"

Helena cursed knowing that the information you gave didn't help at all.

Rose was making her way over, Helena once again stood confident and shot at her. You hide behind her this time so you wouldn't get affected by the ricochet. But like the last few times the bullets only grazed by and didn't do any damage.

In a fury the lonster reared back on its hind spider legs and whacked both of you to the side. You and Helena went over the side, you held onto the railing for dear life while Helena hit the floor. You watched in horror as she didn't get back up.

"Helena!!"

Rose ignored you and jumped back down to go for the female agent. With a great struggle, and upper body strength you didn't know you had, you pulled yourself back up onto the cat walk.

"Helena!!" You screamed down. She was alive but dazed, and would not have enough time to get away from the approaching monster.

You looked around wildly, you noticed that up above was a special kind of sprinkler system, pieces of the piping poked through the webbing on the ceiling. You followed the piping and saw it connected to a large tanker off to the side, with a "flammable" warning painted on the side.

With the hope of a plan you jumped down from the cat walk, as you landed you felt pain shoot through your right ankle and you rolled. But you powered through it and ran at the back end of Rose. Jumping off her human body, it wailed, and you climbed over the rest of her, vaulting forward to land by Helena. Rose screamed and raised two of her arms to stab you both, you quickly pulled Helena's gun from her hand and shot up at the pipping.

Several shots pissed but with a stroke of luck one bullet landed on target and gasoline showered over you all. In a fit of confusion and now blinded by the flammable liquid Rose threw down her speared legs, missing you both by inches. You pointed the gun at Rose, hoping to somehow ignite the gas on her body.
