"Hey Maka, what would you want your kids to be like?" Asked a brunette as she set the controller to the game she was playing down. She dressed in simple every day clothes, she propping her head up on her palm as she stretched out over her bed.
"Why do you ask?" Replied the teenager in question, her orange eyes locked onto the shared tv within her and her team's dorm. "Wouldn't have to do with the A.I. in that game asking the protagonist's mother that question, right Aliza?" She shifting to look at her dog tailed friend.
With a sly grin and defeated chuckle Aliza spoke up. "Fine fine you caught me, but it's also because this is our last year of being here at Haven so I'm curious to know how your little babies would turn out when your a mom." She staring at Maka.
"I would want my child to be themselves. Be a free mind, a fighter, I want them to defend those who can't defend themselves. I want them to defend their ideals, convictions, and bonds. Maybe for them to be proud yet know what humility is, to be compassionate. To better their flaws and help improve the faults in other people. Importantly I'd want her to know I love her. Does that answer your question?" She replying while uncrossing her legs as she stood then sat on her bed.
"Yeah, suppose so." Aliza mumbled as she threw a pillow at her friend and teammate.
With that the night faded and years blurred. Maka birthed a beautiful baby girl named Capreila, nicknamed Cap. She loved her yet her job kept busy and hardly able to see her own daughter. She hoped the girl understood and wouldn't hold it against her too much. Another few years came and went, here she was sitting in one of her safe-house sprawled out against her husband to be, Elrin. His hands stroking her chestnut brown hair as she had her eyes shut save for a solitary orange one fixed on Elrin's face.
"You're cute." Maka said as she poked his chin with her finger.
With a grin he pokes her nose back. "Thank you. I've got a question." He said moving his hand to her swollen belly her hand finding his, fingers resting flat on top of each other before moving about the surface of her stomach together. "Oh, they kicked again. Anyway my question." He said keeping his gaze locked on her stomach.
"Alrighty shoot." She closing her eye as she feels him rub her belly in small centric circles.
"What would you want our kid to be like?" He asked, still rubbing her belly. " I'd like for them to take after the best of what we both have to offer." With an inhale he turned his head at his fiancé.
"I..I want them to be what ever they want to be. I don't want them to inherit my flaws. I wish for them to not be overly dedicated to a cause or simple course in life. I want them to experiment with what life has to offers. As they grow older I want them to fight for what they believe in. I want them to not be me. I want them to be there for their own children when the time comes. I want them to be strong willed. That's all." She said as she opened one eye yet again.
"I understand that Maka. That sounds completely reasonable for any parent to say. By the way I'm thinking on names. Juniper, Magnolia, and Orchid." Elrin said.
"Flower names like Capreila huh. I like the idea. Hey! I'm hungry. You wanna go start dinner for your favorite person in the world? Please?" She said craning her head upwards some to kiss his cheek after sitting up some.
"Mm sure. After a few more minutes of sitting here." He joked, soon getting up for he was hungry too. "Because I love you, I'll make your favorite tonight. Stir fry sound good?"
"Of course!! Go go. I'm eating for three." She tossing a pillow at him. With that Elrin walked into the kitchen and got started on dinner muttering about how Shuns love of eating rivaled their passion of fighting.
(Done with this one. The game in question is Horizon Zero Dawn. Let's see, Elrin belongs to my friend Isaac, you can read his works at Feryses! Maka belongs to me! Have a fun time y'all.)
