*This part is an add on to the last Chapter*
Once everything was calm, and once we assumed the Beldam was asleep, we finally breathed a breath of exhaustion. Wybie was in the corner of the room, curled up into a ball, sat on the bed. I should have been there for him, instead of going off to Michigan with my family.
"What happened while I was gone?" I whispered, looking around the room behind the mirror.
"She tricked me." He responded, angrily. "When you left, I heard you screaming for help in the well." He said, turning to face me. "I thought you were getting murdered, so I ran to the well, and saw you with the star sweater and leggings you always wear."
I nodded, sitting on the bed, facing him.
"She pulled me inside your old apartment, and was going on about how the little door was still there, and I knew I was right when I thought that it wasn't you." He said.
I raised an eyebrow, tucking back a hair that had fallen.
"I knew it wasn't you, because 'you'," He said using air quotes, "were acting weird, and for a moment, I wanted to run downstairs and call the police, because the other you was scaring me." He said, his voice breaking.
I held back the tears that were forming.
"The Beldam convinced me to look in the mirror to see if there was anything weird, which I should have known it was a trick, because that's about always what murderers say in horror movies." He laughed lightly, as I did the same.
"I'm so sorry I never believed you." He said, as I felt a lump in my throat. "I should have never thought you were crazy."
"I should have been there for you." I whispered.
"Coraline-"
"No, Wybie. This wouldn't have happened if I left." I said, facing him, as tears began to fall. "If I hadn't had left, this whole thing wouldn't have happened." I whispered, as it got really quiet.
"Wybie, is that you?" The Beldam called, as my blood went cold, and my heart stopped. "Is that Coraline's voice I heard?"
The sound of my voice coming out of her mouth made me almost faint, as I looked over to Wybie with wide eyes. Tears were forming in his eyes, as he pushed me off the bed, and into the nearby closet that the Beldam had for some odd reason.
"Coraline, you need to hide." He said frantically. "I'll come back for you, I promise."
That was the last thing I had heard from him, before the Beldam took him out of the mirror.
