Chapter1
Steven Grey's POV:
I just came back from playing basketball with the guys . The
mansion is just as I left it .
Phewww! I just realized that I have not seen dad for two
weeks now. He is a workaholic.. I will definitely call him after
I've had nice shower, walking into the bathroom and realized
am feeling so tired for a scrub
I called out to Mary the youngest maid in the mansion and
told her to bring me an orange drink
Mr. Grey, where should I bring it? Mary asked. Being fully
aware that I don't often hangout in my room and I will be
leaving before she gets back with the drink.
I walked towards her and said: we are mates you don't need
to call me Mr. Grey; call me Steve (looking down at her slender
figure, blonde hair). I smiled and she blunted out yes Mr. Gre*
.. Steve!
I will be in the pool area.. I said half smirked and walked
down the hallway heading to the pool area.
I was in the pool when I heard a voice...come out of the
pool and join me in the relax area!
Samson Grey's POV:
Steve came out faster than I expected. Coming toward me
with a smile on his face… Hey Dad! You finally showed up, I
was going to call you after swimming, he said. Steve, I came to
tell you that we are leaving New York tomorrow… Cool Dad!
For a vacation, Steve responded; clearly looking at me hoping
it's just for vacation since it's summer.
No, we are moving to New Jersey permanently for now....
Steve looked at me in disbelief; Dad, what about school? He
asked. What about the house and work? …because Dad, even
though your company is round the globe, its headquarter is
still here in New York.
I cut him before he finished what he was saying… Son, you
will enroll into a new school and don't worry about work even
though the headquarter is here, the company branch in New
Jersey is working on a project and I would like to help them
finish up.
He stumped his feet and walked out on me…
Steve's POV:
Why does he want us to relocate? I can't leave my friends
and my school… I could always visit them but… it won't be
the same like when I'm still living here. I'm so angry at Dad right now!
When he said come Son… I was so happy because I missed
him… he didn't even move a muscle; he sat like it had not
been long he had seen me …
He's not always here with me and now he wants me to leave
behind those that are here for me.... Out of anger I broke the
mirror in my room and walked back to the relax area with
blood dripping down my hand.
Son! Dad flinched a muscle in his face when he saw the
blood dripping down my hand… It's been a long time since I
saw him show such feelings ever since mom died... Not
minding his facial expression ..I said;
It shouldn't be all about you Dad! What about me? What
about what I want? I don't want to go.... Now because you
have a project there That is worth billions in New Jersey, you
don't want to leave your son behind… so you are planning to
ship me with you? It's not like I'm a thing that has no feelings
and you can choose to pick me and drop me wherever you
want to… I'm human too Dad… I've got feelings and I've got
plans too! So guess what Dad; I'm staying here in New York,
you can always visit me whenever you want to…. It's not like
you are always around anyways, so it makes no difference!
Samson Grey's POV:
No Steve, you are coming with me! He glared at me, gave a
loud shout and walked out again… I immediately called
Jackson my butler and gave him instructions to inform all
security not to let Steve out of the house today. And Jackson,
see to it that Steve receives first aid treatment for his injury I added as he was about to leave.
...
Lost in my thoughts; it all replayed in my head… Dad it
shouldn't be always about you, he said. But it's not always
about me; it's all for him and I hope he realizes it someday
