Chapter 32 : The Accident

Sunday, 2pm in the Afternoon.

I idly sat down the chair waiting for my friends to arrive. Today, I'm meeting up it Ciara and Arianna. They just came back from New York and Greece and i'm so excited to finally reunite with them.

Ciara is a detective in New York, while Arianna is a prosecutor in Greece. As i wait for them, i heard the door clicked open making me
tilt my head up.

There i saw them, entering the coffee shop with a wide smile plastered in their faces.

"Zaira!"They happily walk towards me, and we both exchange a warm hug. "Ari!Cia! I'm so glad you came. It has been almost 3years since i last saw the two of you."I grin.

Ari chuckled,"How are you then?"She asked. "I'm fine.What about the two of you? Any news to tell me."They both grin.

"Ciara is getting married this week and I'm engaged."My mouth hang open and my eyes widened. "Really?!!"They both nod.

"Wow~ I'm so happy for the two of you."They smiled. "How about you and Min Hyuk? I still remember your love story way back in college."Says Ciara. I muffle a laugh.

Yeah. Our love story. The best that i couldn't forget. "Min Hyuk and I are doing great. We have 5 kids already and i'm glad to be a mother to all of them."I happily said.

"Wait! What? 5kids? I thought you only have one."Says Ari. I chuckled,"I adopted 3 and one is my newly born baby, Sun-Woo."I explained.

"You adopted 3? How?!"Asked Ciara. "I also adopted Lisa's daughter."They both gasped."You mean you're worst enemy, Lisa? But why?! What if she's daughter is revenging on you?!"I sigh,"She's not."

"Lisa is prisoned and it's all because of her daughter, Misoo. Lisa kidnap me and Subin while i was still pregnant with Sun-Woo. But at the time, that Lisa was already killing us. She appeared. She appeared to save us, to stop her mother. I felt pity on her. No one is gonna look after her. She's young.She doesn't know how it is to be left alone. I know. Because i experienced it too when i was an orphan girl and also,i can see it on Lisa's eyes when she was just left down the cold streets of the night with nothing to eat. Misoo is a good person."I elaborately explained.

"Okay. We understand."I grin,"And what about the two?"asked Ari. "Tao oppa saved them when they was almost getting abducted by Lisa's men."They both gasped. "Subin and Seo-Yun are sisters. Subin just got cured from a cancer and i feel bad about her. Seo-Hyeon is my daughter. Still my daughter. She came from my womb. I treat them like how i treat Seo-Hyeon and Sunwoo. I treat them equally the same."I said. They both nod.

/Min Hyuk's POV|

"WHAT KIND OF LAWYER ARE YOU?!! YOU ARE THERE TO HELP YOUR CLIENT!"Said the Judge, shouting at me madly. I sigh,"I did help them. I did what a laywer should do!"I said.

He chuckled,"No! Another priority factor should be that you should communicate with them when they  need you. In many cases lawyers, like you are missing in action by never answering their phones or refusing to return calls in a timely manner. Needless to say, you would never want a situation where they are actually rude and short with you once you do finally reach them."He explained. "I know! I know!"I said.

"YOU KNOW?! YOU EVEN REJECT THERE CALLS AND THEIR TEXTS MESSAGES!"I sigh. "I'm sorry. It will never happen again."I apologize.

"Anyways! There will another trial next week and i want you to be there to defend your client. Is that clear?"I nod,"Yes Judge Shin. As he leaves, let out a deep sigh.

I walk out down to the hallway. My phone placed inside my pocket rang an unexpected caller,"Hello?"

My eyes widened and my jaw dropped open. "WHAT?!!","WHERE?!"

I quickly hanged up and ran my way to my car and hurriedly drove away from the office,heading towards the hospital.

"Sht!Sht! Damn this traffic!"I turn another way around and used another road going to the hospital. Seul Mi got hit my a car, and i hope she's okay.

As i arrived at the hospital, i quickly exit my car and ran towards the emergency room with nervous heart and sweating forhead. "Excuse me?! Where is the patient who got hit by the car? Her name is Jung Seul Mi?!"I asked.

"Sir she is brought to the Operating Room."Says the nurse.I nod, and ran going to the operating room. I sat fall down the floor as i cry. "MINHYUK!"I heard Ari and Cia's voice holler down the hallway.

"What happened?"They worriedly asked. I shrugged my shoulders, as i just cry in tears. We waited for more than 8hours before the doctor came out. "Doc, how is my wife?"I asked.

"She had no major injuries but we still have to go observations and test to see if she has no internal injuries or she didnt damaged any internal organs..The impact was really hard."Says the Doctor. I sigh in relief.

"Thank you doc!"I bowed,as i saw Seul Mi being brought to her room. I followed them behind, as i wipe my tears off with tissue. I already texted Mom and the kids and they seem to be really worried.

As we got to the room, i held Seul Mi's hand tightly as i sat beside her. Ari and Cia went out to buy some food and drinks. Mom and Dad will be going here tomorrow with Seo Hyun and Seo Yun. Misoo and Subin cant come since they have a exam going on.

I just closed my eyes as i held on Seul Mi's hand. I prayed and prayed and prayed that she will get better. I kiss her forhead and in a minute, i feel alseep.
