Chapter 56 : The Incident At Busan River

Mrs. Choi began telling me the whole story of the incident. She was a bit emotional."My husband cheated on me after our daughter died. He said,
he's tired of me crying all day. Who wouldn't be crying if your daughter just died, right? What kind of parent are you if you just dont care about your daughter , who just died.?"She said.

"So the incident didn't happen in the River?"I asked. She shook her head,"Ani.","Where did it happen?"I asked. "I don't know. All i know was, Saturday Morning, i told Mom to babysit my baby, since i was off to work and my husband was already at work. Suddenly, Mom got a call so she went out to answer the call, leaving Yunah inside the house, sleeping. After 50 minutes, she went back finding out that Yunah wasn't in the crib anymore. She began to panic, and looked for her everywhere in the house but she was no where to be found. We began to report it to the police, greatly they did something about it and tried so hard to find Yunah. After 3days, the police came to my house and told me that they found Yunah in a garbage bag, dead. With 4 stabs in her abdomen."she explained briefly yet her story did had a great connection to the evidence found in the crime scene.

"Do you know who could have possibly done this? Anyone you know ? Probably some enemies, past lovers of you and your husband?Anything like that?Hmm."I asked.

"I tried thinking that. But i found it impossible."She answered. "Huh? What do you mean?"Asked Detective Oh.

"All of my enemies or people that hates us or our past lovers are all in far places and i think in 3 days they wouldn't be here that quickly."She answered. "Wait! That could be possible."I said.

"How?"She asked. "They could have come before the incident happened. Like 2 weeks or 3 or even months they have been staying here, observing every movements and stuffs that you do to be able to have a great access and time to kill one of you."I explained. She nod and said,"Oh. I haven't think of that."

"But Detective! Can't you notice anything?"asked Detective Oh. "Notice what?"I asked ,confused. "Babies are abducted during the 13th of Every month and found dead 3 days after the abduction , so they are killed at the 16th day."Says Detective Oh.

Which made me think and realized that he is right. Everything that we have, evidences, files and victims does have connection of when they are killed.

After the interview, we want back to station to see the files of the victims. Most victims are babies, age 4months to 1year old. As we arrived at the station, we hurriedly make our way to our desk and check out the profiles.

1st victim :

• Park Gaeyeong ( 5months old )
Abducted January 13, 2011 & founded dead January 16, 2011 at Busan River

2nd Victim

• Oh Kishan ( 7months old )
Abduted Febuary 13,2011 & later on founded on Febuary 16,2011 at Busan River

My eyes widened and my jaw dropped open. Detective Oh is right! This is a big help in our investigation. I went over to the computer and check out the CCTV captured in the gas station where 2nd victim , Oh Kishan was seen last alive.

"Hmm. Nothing suspicious here."I said to myself. When all of sudden, something caught my eye. "WHAT THE--?"Everyone in the office got shocked. "You okay?"Asked Detective Oh.

"Look, This is the video where Oh Kishan was last seen alived. They just came from a family dinner, right? But they filled up first their car with gas. Can't you see that man in a motorcycle? He's looking directly at Oh Kishan who is being carried by his Mom. Later on, when the car drove, the man took a phone and took a  picture of something. Why can't anyone notice it?"I said.

Everyone stayed quiet until they noticed it. "Oh! Wait! That man... I think i've seen him before."Says  Lieutenant Chungha ( a/n : not sure haha forgot her. Forgot her name. Due to i have a lot of characters added, i couldn't barely remember the name i gaved them. If you know, please comment down below. Help me pleaseee!)

I gasped,"You know him?"I asked her, looking at her. "Hmm. Kinda. I think i've seen him before. Maybe my friend can help us."She said. "How?. His face isn't clear in the video."I said.

"That's what she's good at."She says. I nod,"Oh. Okay."

Busan River

I arrived at Busan River alone. Without my team mates knowing about it. I just would like to check out the place, or maybe i could find something that could lead us to the suspect where looking for.

I let out a deep sigh. There were so many families having a good time in the River. Some were having picnic, some were just strolling around with their kids, some are just couples sitting on the grass.

Those that i see made me remember the days that Min Hyuk and I was able to these kind of stuffs. I know, my reason why i'm here is to solve a brutal murder and kidnapping case but you can't run away from the memories that you remember , especially if you see something that makes you remember it.

I sat on the bench, and roam my eyes in everycorner. The tree's, at the dark places,  the grass where families are sitting and having good time. Just simply everywhere.

Till i notice a strange - suspicous man, roaming around the place like observing something or someone. That made me so suspicious about him. He was wearing black jeans, black shirt, a black mask and black cap. Everything is black.

When he saw me, staring at him he walked away fast. That's the time i slowly followed him.
