As Lance walked to the training dock and shooting range he began to get a cold sweat and he also began to shake making him unable to stand straight up.

"Great, you made it in time for training. We'll start off with practicing with our shooting then we'll split off into groups of two to practice or strengthen out team bond. I know that Pidge and Keith don't have guns as their bayards but it's a good idea to have every strength maxed out." Shiro said as he started to set up the shooting range, not even bothering to look back at Lance.

While Lance and Hunk summoned their bayards, the other two went to grab training guns that were no where near the power of the bayards.

"You ready to lose mullet boy?" lance asked Keith, nudging him in the side with the butt of his bayard. Lance may be sick, but he is refused to lose against Keith.

"To the likes of you? Plus where did you get that absurd idea of me losing to you from? That'll only happen in your dreams!" Keith nudged Lance back put with a little more force and soon enough, they where both pushing each other back and forth. Only stopping when Shiro turned around but as Shiro turned around again, they just resumed shoving each other.

"Come on Lance! Hunk is doing better than you, and his method is 'spray and pray'! You're supposed to be our sharpshooter!" Shiro barked at Lance as he misses the target for the fourth time since the start of training.

Everyone cringed at how Shirk shouted at the Blue Paladin for the second time today. Sure, Shiro was having a really bad day after yelling at Keith and Lance earlier this morning and his robotic arm malfunctioned a few times and had to be completely disabled for a hard reset. But taking the frustration that the Black Paladin had bottled up and taking it out in Lance and only Lance for the second time was just unfair.

Coran noticed what was going down the most. He watched how Lance swayed in his feet, he noticed how the small bead of sweat was forming in his forehead, and how he shifted his bayard from hand to hand as if it was to heavy to caruy it in one hand for a short period of time. How long has or was he been pushing himself to train? Coran didn't want to say anything but this was getting ridiculous.

"Oi, Number One!" Coran places a firm hand in Lance's shoulder, steadying him, "Lay off my boy for a tick! If he isn't performing as well as he should be or to your expectations, there must be something wrong!"

Shiro stood absolutely baffled. Not only had Coran questioned his judgement but he also called Lance 'my boy'.

"Coran step out of this. This is between me and Lance."

"Well I'm going to intervene."

"You have no place to intervene Coran. He's my paladin."

"And this is my ship. And my shooting range. I appreciate your authority Number One, buy he's a paladin of Voltron, not of Shiro."

Coran didn't raise his voice once, yet he managed to leave the paladins speachless. Without a point to counter argue, Coran guided Lance away.

When the two where out of earshot, Coran immediately sat Lance down. He took off his glive and pressed his cool hand to the Blue Paladin's burning forehead and frowned. Lance was too warm yo be out of bed and trying to train.

"Why didn't you tell Shiro that you weren't feeling well, Lance?"

"He was already having a bad day... didn't want to make it any worse..."

The Altean couldn't help but smile, "You got a heart of gold, my bku. Now let's get you some water and back to bed."

Coran led Lance to the dining room where be sat down in one of the chairs, slumping back.

"My boy, you can't be overworking yourself."

"I'm not! I get sick all the time back home in earth...!" Lance let out a heavy sigh.

"Homesick as well?" Coran sat down besides him as Coran handed Lance a pouch of water, "Don't worry, I miss Altea as well."

Lance nodded as he downed the pouch of water, "How far is Earth away from where we are now and how long would it take to get there if I were to take Blue?"

"I'm sorry but I do not know the numbers on the top of my head, but I know that stress is not good for the sick. Come on, let's get you to bed." Coran helped Lance up and walked him to his room.

Lance couldn't sleep a wink. It's been a while since Coran dropped him off at his room telling him that he needed to get well needed rest so that he could return to training.

Lance turned over so that he was no longer looking at his blank wall but now at the digital clock next to his bed. As he watched the ticks go by painfully sloe, he began to wonder what the others were doing, being stuck in bed is and always will be incredibly boring when Lance had nothing to do. What could Lance do that didn't involve sitting around?

xXx

"Hey guys, what's for lunch?" Lance entered the dining room no longer in his suit of armour not his regular clothes. It on an old shirt, his pajama bottoms and of course his jacket. Basically he walked into the others taking a break in his pajamas and not his suit of armour. Real professional.

"Are you feeling better Lance?" Pidge asked him, examing his clothes, "Why are you in your pajamas?"

"I'm fine thank you for your concern. Clean just made me get some rest which explains why I'm wearing my pajamas." Lance smiled over at Pidge as he fed the  little mice that often followed Allura around though he only took a few bites himself.

Coran opened his mouth to protest but soon closed it when Lance gave him a small shake of his head.

"We're going to be starting on our team bonding after this break. You can join us if you are feeling up to it." Shiro said as he looked across the table at Lance.

"Of course I would!" I can't be falling far behind in training!" Lance smiled while taking a measly bite of food before pushing it away, allowing the mice to eat the rest of it.

If Coran knew that Lance was not feeling one hundred percent, would that mean that Allura would notice as well? Lance shuddered at the thought, hoping that she didn't because if she did, she would make him train even more or go in a heal pod. Lance absolutely hated going in because he could miss so much just being in there for a hour. Plus, ever since he was locked in the while he was helping to clean them with Coran, he's been deathly afraid of them and tries to avoid them the best that he could.

Once again Lance shuddered, praying that Allura wouldn't notice that he was in fact sick and straining himself to train day and night.
