**Present Day**
"Adios douche bag" I scream as I cut the head off of another Vampire. Not sooner the head hits the ground my phone starts ringing in my back pocket.
"Go for Rhodes." I answer
"You dumb-ass." I rolled my eyes
"Bobby, its okay. I've been hunting my whole life, this was easy." I respond.
I ran away from my family shortly after the Winchesters left Los Alamos, New Mexico almost nine years ago. Seeing as them leaving was partly my fault... I spent most of that time helping my "Uncle" Bobby hunt creatures in my area. I did the most I could to forget the Winchester brothers. Yet every year on the day they left something in me flips and I can't stay still, I HAVE to hunt. Bobby has helped me as much as he could but he still worries about me.
"Are you sure about that princess?" a slimy voice speaks from behind me.
"Oh shit." I whisper as I slowly turn around. I see the head of the nest walking in the room with his mate's head in his hands.
"You know, I'm gonna have to kill you for this." He holds the head up as if he was presenting it to me. "But i'm going to enjoy ripping you apart." He smiles revealing his teeth glaring with his most recent kill. I reach behind me and check how many bullets I have still in my gun. Before I know it the monster jumps over the railing and runs to me. He grabs my neck pushing me into a metal poll in the warehouse.
"Normally I save this for the second date."I choke passed his hand. The vamp tilts his head in confusion before I kick him in the nuts. He drops to the ground as I drop my phone. I pull my machete out and chop his head off.
"DANI!! ANSWER ME!" I pick up my phone hearing Bobby yell at me.
"Yea, Hey I'm okay. I'm on my way." I start walking to my car
"Dani.. you may want to-"
"Ill clean up before I go inside. I'll drive careful and see you soon." I cut him off and hang up.I quickly bury the bodies and wash my hands with my last bottle of water. I wipe the blood off of the blade and throw it into my trunk. I hop in my '69 Chevy Camaro Z28 and start the drive to Bobby's.
The radio is playing an oldies station, just the way i like it. AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Aerosmith and more comes blaring as I drive down the old dirt road to Bobby's junk yard.
Bobby Singer, the town drunk, everyone's favorite "uncle" in the hunting community. Its because of him that I'm still alive. He is always sending me hunts or helping me get out of situations. He taught me everything I know.
I finally arrive at Bobby's the lights in the house are on which isn't that much of a surprise, Bobby keeps them on if he is expecting company but something about tonight felt different. I don't know if it was the fact that I am still covered in blood and sweat or if was just an gut feeling but my entire body went on edge as I was getting out of the car. I pulled a gun out of my back tucking it into the waist line of my pants still making sure it was easily accessible.
"Bobby, I'm back..." I called out cautiously.
"Yeah, uhhh, I'm in here." I walk around the corner slowly making sure that I could see a good portion of the room before coming in completely. I see the older man leaning against the desk with is arms crossed a look of anger mixed with disappointment on his face.
"Bobby?"
"Hey, kiddo. It okay." He looks at me nodding slowly. I finally walk into the room to see a very tall shaggy brown haired man standing in the corner. Something inside me wakes up as if I've met him before.
"Hey." The stranger gives me a quick nod. I squint at him trying to see if maybe I could pick up on something that would give me a clue as to who he is.
"I know you..." I point to him and he tilts his head.
"Are you sure?"
"Yes...I'm positive. I just don't know from where."
"Well, I'm guessing since you are here covered in blood you must be a hunter."
"Indeed..." Just as if I was struck by lighting a smile splits across my face. "Sam Winchester? Well I'll be damned." I scoff looking to Bobby who shrugs.
"I wanted to see how long it took you." I roll my eyes at the old man.
"Damn, time has treated you well." I rest my hand on my hip.
"I'm sorry, I'm still lost." He steps forward slightly.
"Its okay Sammy Boy, its been almost nine years." I shrug with a small smile. As if someone hit fast forward on his thought process the brightest smile I had ever seen spread across his face.
"Dani?" I nodded running towards him for a hug leaving my bag on the floor. "I didn't even recognize you. Time has treated you well too." I shrug looking up at him.
"Nah, time has been nothing but cruel. But hey that's the job. Man you got tall. In my mind your still a scrawny twelve-year-old with an overactive imagination."
"I left that kid in the dust a long time ago." he chuckles half-assed, rubbing the back of his neck.
"Understandable, considering." I step back picking up my bag. "Let me go get cleaned up then we can catch up, yeah?"
"Definitely." He sighs. I made it almost up the stairs before the whispers started from the room. I shook my head deciding it wasn't my business. After a quick shower and change I came downstairs to find Sam drinking alone in the Kitchen.
"Its not like Bobby to leave you boys alone..." I speak from the doorway.
"He needed some shut eye. Something about a hunter's daughter who thinks she's invincible or something." We both chuckle as I grab a beer from the fridge.
"She sounds like a handful."
"Oh, I can only imagine." the laughter continues. I take a seat across from him after popping open my beer. "So tell me Sammy boy, how has everything been? I have been all work no play these last few years."
"Well, where should I start?" I take a swing shrugging
"Thats up to you." He rubs the back of his neck again.
"Well a little over three years ago I got back into the hunting life. Dad had gone missing so Dean called on me from school. We found out that Dad was hunting the thing that killed our mom."
"Wait, wait, wait... You got out? And what do you mean the thing that killed your mom?"
"Yeah I was out. After high school I left, got in a really really big fight with my dad and just up and left. I went to Stanford on a full ride to study law. I met a girl and was happy."
"Thats amazing Sam, most of us don't even get a taste of that. But why stay?"
"After our first trip I came home to find my girlfriend plastered to the roof bleeding from the gut when all of the sudden the roof caught on fire. If Dean hadn't run in to save me I would have died in that room with her." He looks down at his drink forlorn, my stomach completely sank.
"Sam...what killed your mother?" He looked up at me confused "Was it the same thing that killed your girl?"
"Um, yeah... it was demon. His name was Azazel he was the only demon we've come across with Yellow-eyes. Why?" I look up at him trying to stay strong in front of him.
"My...my mother was killed in my nursery when I was six months old. My father used to swear to me that she was on the ceiling bleeding from the gut until the whole room caught fire. My oldest brother Jeremiah was the one who carried me out. Josh and Jax were still way to young to remember." I shook my head. "What did it mean?" Sam swallowed hard.
"Everyone of Azazel's kids developed some sort of psychic power. I had premonitions, a boy we met had telekinesis. What was yours?"
"I could read people's true emotions... nothing to extreme so I chopped it up to years in the business but I knew things about people that I wasn't supposed to with just a small brush."
"I can't believe you weren't called upon like the rest of us."
"What do you mean?"
"We had to fight to the death. Azazel wanted only the strongest of us."
"Maybe I wasn't worth the fight. My power wasn't much. I honestly don't know." I run my fingers through my still damp hair. "Here, before I forget. Put your number in my phone. In case you boys ever need any help out there."
"Thanks Dani." He smiles taking my phone.
"So, what else happened?"
"Well, after years of hunting him the powers became uncontrollable. We were called forward, like I said, and...I died." I spit out my beer choking.
"Then how in the absolute hell are you here?"
"Dean...he... Well, he..."
"Spit it out Winchester or so help me god!"
"He made a damn deal, Dani. He brought me back by selling his soul." I crushed the beer bottle in my hand.
"Where is he?"
"Probably at some bar... He is on some last year alive road trip." I grab my leather jacket and car keys before running out the door.
