Cleremunda knocked on Callista's door. Her lips were still tingling from Alexander's touch. "M'Lady. Wake up." The sky was still black. She had managed to ride her horse so fast that she made it back in hours time. She was sweating and panting, looking as if she was about to pass out.

Callista was already sitting up, hugging herself. Her crystal blue eyes were wide and glued to the wall, even though there was nothing there. Dried tears stained her cheeks, while her hair was an absolute mess. Cleremunda sat besides her. "What the hell happened to you?"

The princess was quiet for a second, then turned to her. "W-Why are you here...?"

"We're going for a walk. But before we do that, do tell me what's up with you?"

"Nothing, Clere," Callista said quietly before standing up. She brushed her hair slowly while staring at herself in the mirror. Cleremunda stared at her butt, then smacked herself. Callista turned around to pick out a dress for herself, but paused. "Dress or...?"

"Something dark. We mustn't be seen."

Callista had exactly the outfit. It was completely black, and so tight her figure was perfectly shown. Cleremunda stared at it, then nodded. "Yeah. Put that on." She did. The princess was abnormally silent and looked pathetically upset- not strong as usual. Cleremunda frowned. "What happened? Do tell me. I'll tell you my story if you tell me yours."

"Tell me yours."

"I visited Lord Alexander."

"Why?"

"To figure out this whole 'war' thing." She suddenly paused. "Damn it, damn it, damn it!" She slapped herself.

"What?" Callista finished getting dressed and put her hair in a bun, something that Cleremunda hadn't seen before.

"That little bitch never answered my question!" She hissed. "He kissed me to shut me up! Oh, I'm gonna kill him."

"Since when do you talk like this?" Callista asked quietly.

"He used his lips as a weapon," she mumbled, completely ignoring Callista. "I should've known that wasn't random."

The princess didn't listen to her. She walked back over to her bed and pulled a small knife out from under her pillow. She tucked it in her belt. Cleremunda rose to her feet, adjusted her uniform, then turned to Callista. "I must say, M'Lady, your ass is amazing." She left the room.

"Thanks," Callista muttered, then followed. Cleremunda led her around the palace in silence, not even their shoes making noises. Cleremunda finally stopped walking when they reached the dungeon.

"Here we are," she whispered. Callista's eyes widened slightly. Cleremunda unlocked the barred door and stepped inside, then pulled Callista in after her. The two tiptoed down to the furthest cell- Hugo's. He was awake and it appeared that he was patiently waiting for someone.

"Bread," Cleremunda said as she unlocked his cell and entered, handing a loaf to him. He devoured it hungrily. Callista watched. Hugo thanked Cleremunda, then bowed to Callista and kissed her hands. She fell to her knees in front of him.

"W-What did I do?" He choked out, grabbing her before she could completely fall. She hugged him all of a sudden. Hugo seemed mildly confused, but he held her in his arms. Callista was on the verge of tears. "Are you okay...?" Her grip on him became tighter. She couldn't even remember the last time she hugged someone.

Cleremunda sat besides them. "M'Lady?"

The princess didn't respond. Hugo's body became less tense and he rubbed her back. Callista's body language was showing genuine fear through how much she was shaking. Cleremunda grabbed her hand. "Tell us what's wrong."
