Serinity walked through the halls. Daniel smiled at her and waved. She rolled her eyes, looking away.
During class, Daniel turned around when the teacher wasn't looking. He smiled back at Serinity, waving at her. She scowled, looking down at her desk to see a pile of pink letters closed by heart stickers slightly overflowing. She groaned.
At recess, Serinity sat alone on a bench, kicking at the pebbles below her. Looking up, she saw Daniel on a swing. At the sight of her, he grinned and waved. His swing wobbled at the loss of balance, which he soon regained. Serinity looked back down at her pebbles, scoffing at how ridiculous he was. It was slightly amusing, but not enough so to make her smile or laugh.
It was the end of the day, and a car familiar to Serinity pulled up at the pick-up area. She got up with her backpack and got in the car. Looking out the window, Daniel was seated on a bench with swarms of people around him, as always. She frowned, angrily. When he looked up and saw her, he waved and bolted up. The car started driving away, and he moved enough so she could see him waving crazily at her. She facepalmed, exhaling, annoyed.
