Danny was scared. Seri hasd never answered him back on what chocolate she liked, or flowers, so he decided to do a rose like Tommy did. He also got Hersheys, because who can be allergic to Hersheys? His fingers had a few bandades covering the scrapes he had gotten from cutting off the thorns of the rose he went out of his way to grow. This would be worth it, though.
Seri was worth it. No matter what she said.
He breathed, nervous once again while approaching her desk.
"U-Um, hey, Seri!"
She merely looked up at him for a second.
He took a deep breath.
"Uh, do you like Hersheys?" He asked, placing the bar on her desk. She looked down at it, taking the offer and ripping open the chocolate, eating it, expressionless. So far she hadn't rejected anything, but nor had she showed any emotion.
"U-um, I got this for you, too..." He showed her the flower. He placed that on her desk, also. She examined it, and picked it up. Immediately she dropped it once she felt the prick of a half-thorn not completely cut down. Blood began to build up on her fingertip. She panicked, scooting her chair back and running away. He picked up the flower and ran after her, angry at himself for not doing a thorough job. He gripped the flower and ran after her, to find himself getting pricked also. He then panicked, running faster than before.
He was ALLERGIC to roses. He only grew one for her. He ran to the nurses office, to see Seri with a swelled uo fingertip there aswell. She glared at him, chewing her chocolate still. She was a very slow chewer. She must have been allergic too! He compared his swollen palm to her awoken fingertip to find them similar. He laughed. She rolled her eyes at him, shaking her head. The nurse smiled at his friendliness. Seri was done before he was, and headed back to class with a pass. When he finally finished, he ran out to catch up with Seri to find her talking to Tommy in the hallway. He began to run up to them, when he saw them kissing. His heart shattered, and he allowed his body to go limp and he collapsed on the floor, the note he held sliding away. Serinity and Tommy ran up to him, to see if he was okay. But the nurse was already at his side, and by the time the two got to him he was up. He turned to look at Tommy and then a second longer and Serinity. She saw a tear come from his eyes, and he quickly wiped it with his sleeve and ran back to class. For some reason, it slightly hurt Seri to see him like that. But this feeling barely lasted. Tommy held her hand and started guiding her back. Before the took any steps, Seri saw a pink letter that looked like the ones Danny usually gave her. She turned it to see a heart sticker. It must have been! She quickly openned it with Tommy hovering over her shoulder.
Dear Seri,
Will you be my valentine? Well, I guess the colors of the letter make sense now, haha! Whatever you say, don't worry! I won't get hurt! I don't easily. I'll just keep asking you until you say yes! Every. Single. Year.
Still like you!
- Danny
Tommy aggressively snatched the note out of her hands and crumpled it up. He threw it on the floor and latched his hand into hers. Anger flooded through her body. How DARE he!? She slapped him and stomped away with no clue why she was so upset. She would have done the same. If anything, she should have been glad he did it for her.
