SCARLET CAMPBELL'S "PHOENIX" CONFIRMED FOR MARVEL'S CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

Scarlet Campbell, 20 has just recently confirmed her return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe as the sarcastic, critically acclaimed, superhero Simone Daniels. Last weekend, it was at the 2016 Comic-Con fan convention that Marvel released the information to the public.

Campbell stated that she was excited to be working with some of her closest friends again, especially after having made her debut with the network as Pheonix during their movie, Avengers: Age of Ultron.

The actress has been a fan of Marvel for years, stating that she grew up watching Toby Mcquire as Spiderman, and reading many of the comics of our favorite heroes.

Prior to signing her contract with Marvel, Campbell appeared in many popular television shows, such as Supernatural, portraying the role of Jessie Carter, and more recently, the badass witch, Davina Claire in the CW's The Originals. However, Campbell also appeared in the film, Ghostbusters, alongside her friend and co-star, Chris Hemsworth. It was Hemsworth who had reportedly suggested the return of our favourite female superhero.

She would once again be sharing the spotlight with her fellow newcomers, Chadwick Boseman as the Black Panther, Elizabeth Olsen and Tom Holland as the third NEW Spiderman.

We asked Campbell how it felt to be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and how it felt to be sharing the spotlight once again, Campbell stated it felt good to be exploring what else her character [Simone Daniels] could do. She had also commented that she was looking forward to fighting alongside some of the most iconic Marvel characters, who she has looked up to since her childhood years.

She also stated that she was beyond excited to see the men and women that bring our favourite superhero comic book characters to life. However, with sharing the spotlight, Campbell had admitted that she was nervous to meet up with both Boseman and Holland — considering how much of a fan she is of both actors — but she did say that she couldn't wait to start working with them either.

Well, as you can see, Scarlet Campbell is as genuine as ever.

We're looking forward to seeing Campbell back on the big screen in the coming few months, portraying her character; Simone Daniels.

Now, for the remaining question that everyone will be asking: will Simone Daniels be fighting alongside Steve Rodgers on Team Cap or Tony Stark on Team Iron Man?
