SCARLET CAMPBELL'S "PHOENIX" TO BE LOVE INTEREST TO TOM HOLLAND'S "SPIDERMAN" IN MARVEL'S CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR

As E! News had reported, the popular actress to Pretty Little Liars, Alison Johnson (20) recently posted a photo of herself and fellow actresses, Scarlet Campbell and Leah Pipes. Johnson, who has been friends with Campbell since their days with Disney, shooting for the movie, Starstruck. The photo was posted to Johnson's Instagram page with the caption, "we wanted to invite a certain someone but thescarletcampbell wouldn't let us". This post had immediately gotten the attention of users around the platform.

Many fans had instantly begun to speculate that the post was initially about Campbell's Civil War co-star Tom Holland, who plays Spider-Man.

The picture, itself gained over 40,000+ likes [on Instagram] and was quick to travel across both social media platforms, Instagram and Twitter in only a matter of minutes. With the attention that the post was receiving, #Tomlet and #ScarletCampbellandTomHolland quickly became the third and fifth most popular trends on Twitter.

Campbell, however, disregarded that her and Holland had ever taken their relationship to the next level. "[Tom] is a great dude. He's literally one of my best friends," she told E! News via phone.

Holland is yet to comment on the actress' remarks.

"They got to know each other while in the audition process. They became friends and started getting romantic a few weeks ago," an insider shared with us. "They both are such great people. It's cool they got together. Everyone gets along with them. They're very well liked on set. Tom is the most down to earth actor."

While the pair has been careful about keeping their relationship private — the twosome hasn't made things Instagram official. Regardless of Campbell and Holland's relationship status, there's no denying that they have the support of both their fans and colleagues behind them.
