"He wrote me a text message once," I said. "It was my birthday and I think he was drunk because he said;
I sent an angel to look after you. 3 minutes later, the Angel came back and said 'angels don't look after other angels' Happy Birthday."

Cami shook her head and laughed.
"I knew he was a poet but that was ..."

"They say the key to a man's heart is food. I guess, in your case, it's artificially flavored, sugar filled sweets." Cole smirked, watching me eat in amusement.

I considered his reasoning for a moment and shrugged. "True, true."

"Mhm," Cole sighed, gesturing at his bread roll. "This is good."

I rolled my eyes. "Cole. It's bread."

"I an aware of that, Reinhart. I am just stating that it tastes incredibly... bready."

"I don't understand why I'm friends with you, Weirdo." I snorted.

"Now that, my dear friend, is indeed a very existential question. Why is anybody friends with anybody? Why do we crave for love, friendship, happiness and family?"

"Shut up, got any eights?"

"You know, playing Go Fish wasn't how I planned my Saturday."

I rolled my eyes and tried not to smile but failed. "You made the decision, now you have to suffer the consequences."

"Damn," he cursed, handing two cards over. "Got any sevens?"

I smirked. "Go fish."

"Yeah, yeah." Cole waved his hand dismissively. "Alright. I'm done with this game, anything else you wanna play?"

"But no one won!" I protested.

"And it's very obvious that you would have," Cole interrupted, motioning to the wide arrays of pairs on my side as opposed to the pitiful number that were his.

"Sore loser." I mumbled, as I stood up and stretched.

Cole sighed dramatically. "Oh Lili, where have you been all my life?"

"Hiding from you."

"Alright, Reinhart. Get up, I'm taking you somewhere."
