"No."

"What do you mean?"

"We're better than that."

As he said it and smiled, I felt gratitude and along with it, was a little disappointment. Because that's all we were. Maybe we could've been something more if we tried. But we didn't.

Mads and I silently giggled as I watched Cami and KJ arguing. I refrained myself from glancing on my watch. As usual, Cole was running late. Which isn't really a surprise, to me, anyway. I knew he stayed up late last night, because he kept sending me annoying text messages.

                   "Where's Cole?" Mads asked, while she was brushing her hair. "He should've been here by now."

I shrugged. "I bet, he's almost here and he probably brought some food to make up for it. I think he overslept."

Mads gave me a funny look but she didn't say anything else. I checked my bag to check my phone if Cole texted but it wasn't there.

"Lils!" Cami exclaimed, holding my phone up so everyone could see; her argument with Kj was suddenly forgotten. "Guess what ..." she wiggled her eyebrows. "Someone texted you!"

I immediately stood up. Cole. "Who?" I said, making an attempt to grab it from her but she quickly handed it to Kj who gave me a grin. "Now you're suddenly allies." I said sarcastically, putting a hand on my waist.

KJ grinned. "That's how it works. Desperate times call for desperate measures."

I looked at Mads pleadingly, who was watching us with an amused expression. "A little help here, Mads?"

             "Sorry Lils." She said innocently.

"I thought you had my back," I whined. "What happened?"

Cami gasped. "Why does it say Bae? Who's this? I thought I'm your bae." She pouted.

I rolled my eyes. "Cole. It's just Cole." I said, making an attempt to grab it. "Now, give it back!"

Silence,
And then screaming.
What the hell?

"Ohmygosh!" Cami gasped, her eyes widened. "You and Cole? Omg, I knew it. We saw the signs but I thought both of you were dense—"

"No!" I sputtered.

"The first time I saw you look at each other, I knew there was something and ohmygosh you're so cut–"

I snatched the phone away from her and glared. "Actually, Bae stands for Biggest Asshole Ever—"

"Sorry, I'm late!" Cole said, opening the door and going in. His hair was disheveled, and his clothes were wrinkled.

"Speaking of," Mads winked at me. "Here's your significant other."

I scowled. "More like, significant annoyance."

"Atleast I bought everyone coffee," He smiled. "Except you, Reinhart because you slept on me last night."

I looked at KJ, Cami and Mads like Can you believe this guy?

I scowled and snatched his own coffee. "If you were my husband, I'd put poison in your coffee." I mumbled, taking a sip.

"If you were my wife, I'd drink it." He countered.

I rolled my eyes. "God, sometimes you're such a ..."

"What?" Cole countered. Cami, Kj and Mads laughed, obviously entertained.

"What starts with a d and ends with a K?"

Mads giggled. KJ coughed, almost choking on his coffee.

"Reinhart—"

"Dork! I meant dork!"

"Oooh!" Cami exclaimed, scrolling through her phone and reading fans' tweets. "If you're still in Highschool, what type of student would you be?"

Mads piped in. "I'd be the cheerleader,"

"Probably a jock."

Lili thought for a moment. "I'd be the nerdy girl who hates girly shit."

"People are telling me I'm gonna be the rebel who rides motorcycles."

Mads smiled. "Awww how adorable! Look at nerdy Lili going out with the rebel. I can already imagine her smacking Cole because he forgot to wear a helmet."

"There's another one!" Cami exclaimed. "What would you name your future baby?"

Kj was the first to answer. "Kj Apa Jr. then Kj Apa Jr. Jr."

"Gee, I didn't know you were that interested in having babies," Cami said sarcastically.

Cole ignored us, as he took pictures of him on my phone  -

"Stop kissing your pictures, you –"

"Would you prefer if I kiss you instead, Reinhart?"

A/N:

This is so short, and fun to write because it's so light. This chapter wasn't really supposed to be published but I did because the next chapters are going to be full of drama. I hope you enjoyed reading! 😃 Although, I'm busy I'll still try to upload everyday/week.

Also, what are these rumors about SH on twitter? I always believed they were dating and I just realized how heartbroken I'd be if they aren't because I'm so attached.
