Never Ending

Nicki's pov:

We take photos with the girls and have a small after party for them. Like a graduation party and spend time with them before we all part ways.

"Nicki I just wanted to thank you so much for the changes you brought into my daughter's life. In fact all of you for bringing change into every girls' life here" Nila's mom said. I smile and hug her.

"It's nothing to us to want to help young women gain success" I say. Brian then walks up  to me as she leaves.

"Hello" I say with a smile. Although I was thinking I would be helping Lyric by adopting her and raising her as a daughter of my own and make her feel apart of my family I am happy that she has someone that is actually apart of her. And the fact it's her dad is even more better because in my opinion every child needs both parents but I think the father is the most important. They show how to be a man and how a man should treat their daughters and I can't express enough how important it is that a girl needs to know how to pick a good man and stay motivated for herself more so.

"Hello Nicki. I brought Lyric a graduation gift I guess" he says handing me the bag with a balloon attached. I laugh.

"Thank you" I say.

"Oh and this is for you" he says handing me a card.

"Oh wow, thank you" I say. Lyric then walks up.

"Hey" Brian says hugging her. She hugs him back.

"Hey, is this for me?" She asks looking at me and the bag.

"Yes" I say handing it to her.

"It just some things I tougher you might like. If you don't like what's in there it's okay" he says.

"Nicki come here!" I hear Rih shout.

"Excuse me" I say about to walks away.

Lyric's pov:

I like the fact that my biological dad is trying to get to know me and is trying to make up for lost time.

There was a time I was so miserable and couldn't figure out how in the hell I was alone. I didn't trust anyone and I was just broken on the inside.

"Nicki says she will exchange contact information with you so that you can communicate better." I say.

"Okay that's good. Are you comfortable?"

"What do you mean?"

"With me? Or with Nicki? Or with how things are?"

"Oh yeah. I like the way things are and Nicki she is like my idol and my new mom" I say with a smile. I look over to her with my dad and see her laughing with the other mentors. Her cackle is so funny and cute at the same time.

"She single?" He asks. I turn my head back.

"I'm not sure actually. Why?" I ask smirking.

"Just wanted to know so that if you were to be around anyone else besides her in her home" he says.

"Mhm" I say. He just laughs.

Gabby's pov:

I was standing around and eating the food that was out. Nila and Madyson had left after taking photos with everyone. Taylor was about to leave so she was saying her goodbyes.

"Gabby!" My aunt called.

"Yeah" I say walking over to her.

"Can you help me get things out of the office and into my car? It's only two boxes but I want to make only one trip" she says.  I nod and we go to her office. Before we left out Lyric and her dad walk in.

"Nicki my dad had something he wants to talk to you about." She says.

"Umm, I wanted to take my boxes to my car real quick"

"Oh I can help you" he says taking the box out my hand.

"Works for me" I say and leave out with Lyric.

Nicki's pov:

Brian and I walk out to my car and I pop the trunk up.

"Thank you" I say as he puts the box he had inside. I put mine in there and close it back. "So what's up?" I ask.

"Lyric says you wanted to exchange contact info" he says.

"Oh right. I almost forgot" I say. "Can is we your phone?" I ask. He pulls it out and hands it to me. I turn on his Bluetooth and sync my information into his phone.

"There you go" I say handing it back.

"Great. Oh and not to butt in or anything like that. Do you have a boyfriend or anything?" He asks.

"Why? You wanna put in an application to be one?" I ask teasing. He laughs. Brian was an attractive man to me. He wasn't much older than I am and he is built pretty nicely. But I wouldn't date him because he is Lyric's dad and I barely know him already as is.

"Flattering but I'd have to deny the application" he says making me laugh. "I was just wondering because if Lyric stays with you I want her to be comfortable with all who she is around and me and you both know about the past foster homes" he said.

"Well my home is no foster home. It is just a home. And my home is filled with peace, love and the lord. I wouldn't put Lyric in a situation where she couldn't comfortable because if I'm not comfortable then I know she wouldn't be."

"Right" he says.

"But as far as me and my relationships I'm not looking to be with anyone right now. I'm focused on my career now that the program is over and I have to focus on Lyric and make sure she feels alright with the way things are when we leave" I say.

"That's fine and I just wanted to be aware and everything"

"Being a dad" I say. He chuckles.

"Pretty much" he says.

"That is alright. I admire it" I say. We go back inside and see Lyric and Gabby talking.

"Lyric I am about to go" Brian says. She goes to hug him. "I'll see you sometime soon. And I'll call you" he says to me. I smile.

The party didn't last much longer after he left. Girls were saying their goodbyes one after another.

"Okay Paris I wish you the best of luck and Mariah I am proud of you too" I say hugging them.

"Me too" Rih says. "Now we all have to get back on our bullshit" she says. I laugh and shake my head.

"I'll see you soon" I say hugging her.

Walking out I knew that I made a difference in eight girls' life. I was happy that this program was a success and this is not the end. It is only the beginning for making a change.
