'You've got to be kidding me' I said to myself feeling irritated and over exhausted. What the hell could he want? I said to myself as I answered my phone for the second time.

This man never sleeps nor gets the hint. What the hell?!

"This better be good!" I answered while yawning and yet sounding irritated.

"Did I wake you?" He asked almost sounding like he really cared.

"What do you want?" I asked.

"I think that we should go over what I'm going to say at the meeting tomorrow."

I rolled my eyes and thought, seriously?! I swear, I wanted to yell at him. But, like always, I took in a deep breath and replied, "It's passed midnight. I will meet you at work in the morning around 8...."

"No. Now! Be here at my place in twenty-five minutes." He interrupted.

I let out a quick "Grrrr." In frustration.

"So adorable." He laughed into the phone.

       I could just....just....grrrrrrr.

I got up, threw a sweater on and headed over.

When I walked into his house, there were very little lights on. Except for the one coming from his office through the half opened cracked door.

I knocked on the door before entering.
As I entered, I saw him sitting behind his desk trying to study through papers for tomorrow.

He didn't bother to look up when saying, "You're late."

"I know, I'm sorry. I tried texting you that it was going to take me a little longer."

"You know, if you just stay in my guest bedroom, this wouldn't be an issue." He said with a smirk.

"As I have told you before, Mr. Wimbleton, I can't afford to stay anywhere near here, let alone in your house." I mean, I sure as hell don't want to hear him and the sluts and gold diggers he brings home with him. Yeah, no thank you.

"And as I have told you, Ms. Taylor, that you wouldn't have to pay a thing. I also, am not going to keep reminding you that you need to address me as James when we are not in public."

"Can we just please, begin working on the notes for the meeting that we will be having in a few hours?!" I explained while looking down at my watch.

"Alright." He laughed and then jokingly said "Stop stalling."

I just rolled my eyes, went to the kitchen to get us some coffee and then we continued working until almost five in the morning.

*****************************************

I woke up, feeling just a little bit rested. Though not as much as I should be, but better.

As I opened my eyes, I looked around and thought 'this doesn't look like my room.'
I began to slowly sit up and take a look around and notice that I am in a California king-sized bed, in a bedroom that is bigger than my studio apartment.

I quickly realized that I had fallen asleep at James' house. I then looked down and saw that I was still in my clothes. Which was a huge relief. I also noticed that James wasn't there in the bed. So that was yet, another sigh of relief.

I guess that the coffee wasn't strong enough. That or and the fact that I was beyond exhausted.

I quickly looked at my phone and noticed that I was going to be late. Dreading the fact that James probably was already at the office, waiting angrily for me.

I headed downstairs towards the kitchen and noticed James leaning a little bit back on the counter already nicely dressed and dark hair slicked back, taking drinks from his coffee mug and staring at me.

"What?" I asked. Wondering what his problem was.

"Nothing." he chuckled. "You just look..."

"I know, I know. Bad. But this is what a real woman looks like in the morning." I replied as he is handing me a cup of coffee that he just poured for me.

He laughs. "I wasn't going to say bad." He then went back to drinking his coffee.

We both were silent for a brief moment before I interrupted the silence.

"I'm sorry that I passed out last night. I was really tired." I apologized.

"It's okay. We were able to finish everything for the meeting." He says.

I looked at him while taking a sip from the mug.

"Well thank you for letting me sleep over last night and in your bed." I said.

"It was no big deal, really. Besides, you weren't in my room. You were in your room."

I thought I told him to not talk about it again.

"I need to call a cab." I quickly said as I pulled out my phone.

"I can take you." He offered.

"No, that's okay." I reply feeling a little bit embarrassed to have him see where I live.

"I don't mind. It's really no trouble at all." He replies while taking one last drink from his mug before washing it out real quick.

He then grabs his keys and we leave.

-------------

After pulling up, I thank him real quick for the ride and then tell him, I will see him in an hour.

"Why don't I just wait for you? We're going to the same place." He laughs a little bit.

I freeze for a moment and reply. "Okay." That would help me save money on a cab, I thought to myself. "I will be right down. Give me half an hour." I replied while getting out and begin quickly walking towards the entrance doors of my apartment building.

As I began walking up the stairs, quickly, I finally found my keys at the bottom of my purse when I get to the top of the stairs. Then as I begin to put the key in the lock, I hear a mans deep, husky and familiar voice behind me.

I jumped a little and gasped while turning and looking at him.

"James! You scared the shit out of me!"

"My bad." He says while laughing a little bit.

"What are you doing here? I said I would be down there in a minute."

"Actually, you said half an hour." He jokingly replied.

I rolled my eyes a little bit and sarcastically said, "Okay smart ass. Why are you here?"

He paused for a moment looking like he was trying to think quickly of something to say.

"Well....I was hoping that I could come in, you know, I have never seen your place before." He smirks.

"And you're still not going to." I tell him reassuringly.

"Yes you are. For one, I'm your boss and two, we are just wasting time and are going to be late to the meeting, the longer we stand out here and argue." He says with a smile and his arms crossed in front of his chest. Though he did have a point.

"Fine." I rolled my eyes. "But, don't make yourself at home." I tell him as I quickly open the door and we head inside as I start to head towards my bedroom and then the bathroom.
