Nightmares Come True

Chapter 1 - A New Beginning

Today was the day, a young girls dream was put to the test. Her dream was to create a device that could help her mind. Her mind hurt from the machine, but she could handle it a bit longer. This machine was programmed to destroy all the nightmares one person has had, unfortunately, the girls brain couldn't take it. Her mind felt like it was going to explode, the machine was breaking apart. There was only one solution... Destroy the machine. "AHHHHH!!" The girl screamed as high as she could and then everything went black. She had lost her voice, memory, everything. All she could remember was her name. Then, she awoke...

A few days earlier...

( Girls P.O.V)

"Terina! Come on, we're gonna be late for our graduation!" Daisy screamed.

Daisy and I are in our high school years, and we're only a few minutes away from graduating high school. Both of us couldn't wait for it. Daisy was hoping to get into a designing career, while I on the other hand was hoping to become a scientist. A few of our other friends had graduated early due to personal reasons. While the other half of our friends were graduating with us. All the kids were going to be there, and we would be the only two late! We had arrived near the garden and I saw lots of kids standing in front of the door, instead of inside. A few teachers came out explaining what was going on.

"Alright everyone, settle down!" The chattering of the kids went silent.

"Ok, there is a dangerous animal on the loose and has decided to hide in the gardens. Luckily, all of you will be having your graduation in the gym. Please proceed there, and wait for further instructions."

The teachers began talking to one another, while the students began walking off to the gymnasium. Both do us were lucky enough to have there when the teacher was talking. If we had slowed down for a rest, we would've probably been injured by this "animal" and missed the memo. Daisy and I walked over to the gym with the crowd and started muttering to each other.

"Hey, Terina..." Daisy began.

"Yeah?"

"What kind of animal do you think it is? I mean if it was able to get into the garden, then it has to be a bit sneaky, don'tcha think?"

I began to wonder to myself what kind of animal this might be. It could be a tiger, but the kids would've seen it pass by. I kept thinking about it until Daisy made me snap out of my thoughts.

"So... What do you think it is?" I thought of what kind of animal, and confirmed it. "Well, I guess it could be aAAAAAAHH!!"

The ground began to rumble underneath our feet, we tried to run ahead of everyone, but they all stopped. Everyone began screaming and running all over the place. Daisy and I passed through the crowd and made our way to the gym. The rumbling stopped once we took our seats. All the kids starting chattering among us and it became noisy. Daisy and I looked at one another and giggled.

"There you two are! We had been looking all over the school for you girls!" A familiar voice yelled.

A few more girls came up to us, these were my other friends. The girl wearing a blue dress with a necklace was Clarissa, the girl with dark hair and green converse was Ella and the girl wearing a hoodie and jeans was Mona. These were also the girls that were graduating with us.

"Did you girls feel the rumble?" I asked.

"Duh! Of course we did, so what did you guys it was?" Ella replied.

"Well, it could've been the animal, or I guess it could have been a-" I was cut off by a teacher loudly opening the doors.

"Oh, come on!!" I yelled, and stood up out of my seat, receiving weird looks from everyone around me. I hated being interrupted, especially when it's from a teacher, or someone I don't like. I sat back down, with my arms crossed and pouted. My friends giggled.

The teacher was Mr. Johnson, he was my music teacher. He was kind, but once you made him angry, you're done for.

He walked up to the stage and the entire gym became quiet. He started talking about the rumble and said it was our towns first earthquake. After that, he began our graduation.

(Normal P.O.V )

The school gates opened and everyone ran out. Some kids ran off home, some waited for the bus, while others were picked up. The girls started talking about what they were going to do and when they should meet up. They decided and went off to achieve their dreams.

(Terina's P.O.V )

"Mother, I'm home!" I shouted.

I walked into the kitchen to find my mother cooking dinner.

"Oh hello darling, how was your graduation?" She asked.

"It went pretty good... Did you feel the rumble earlier??" I stated.

She looked at me confused.

"Never mind, I'm just happy I won't need to school ever again..!" I said.

My mother rolled her eyes and continued cooking. She turned on the radio and her favourite song came on, We Are Family.

I walked back to my room to get changed. I put a blue shirt, black pants and black converse on. I tied my hair up into a ponytail and walked back to the kitchen. I usually helped my mother with cooking, and I wasn't gonna stop today!

I turned on the TV and saw some movies that were going to be on later tonight, I set a timer and turned it back off. When my mother, father and I sit down to eat, we always watch a movie together.

I helped my mother with cooking and soon enough my father came home.

"Father! Welcome home!" I yelled as I ran to him and gave him a hug.

"Hehe, thanks." He chuckled as he returned my hug.

I smiled and ran back off into the kitchen.

"So are there any movies on tonight, Terina?" My father asked.

"Well, there's Karate Kid, Hop, 50 First Dates and I think it was... What was it?? Oh yeah! The last one is Grown Ups!" I shouted to my father.

He kissed my mother and went to go change. I think I know what he wants to watch...

A few hours later...

After dinner we played a game of bowling on the Wii. It was apparently getting old now, due to so many new consoles coming out. It was somewhat annoying, you know? Like usual, my father won and they went to bed, leaving me to turn off the console. I put the dishes away and walked to my bedroom.
