Padmè's unconscious mind wondered through memories that she had shared with her husband before he became the monster he had become.

She saw images of them rolling through fields of tall grass and wildflowers while nearby waterfalls fell and crashed down into the streams and lakes below.

She saw a younger version of them holding hands and starting deeply into each other's eyes while being pulled into the battle arena on Geonoisis, believing that it was the end. And she remembered the kiss that sealed the confession of their love just before.

Padmè mentally smiled as she saw the love-struck look on both of their faces when she accepted his proposal of marriage.

She remembered their wedding on Naboo just a day later, where the two droids and the priest were their only witnesses of the marital bonding.

Then there was their honeymoon and Anakin's sudden call back to war after only being married for three short days.

And the constant battle to keep their marriage a secret, when all they wanted to do was scream it from the rooftops of Coruscant.

She saw herself on the day she found out she was pregnant. And she then remembered the thoughts of disbelief and fear, but also her thoughts of joy and excitement.

Then she told Anakin the news of the new arrival. She replayed the look of pure joy and amazement on his handsome face.

But then the horror and death filled days that followed filled her mind with terror.

Obi Wan's confrontation of Anakin's turning, her unbelief, her flying all the way to Mustafar to see him and assure herself it was all a lie.

But it wasn't.

Her Ani had turned into the very thing he swore to destroy. And when she poured her grieving heart out to him he paid her fear-filled words no heed.

He accused her of lying to him and she felt his hand clutching her throat to silence her elusive betraying tongue.

She felt nor only the pain of her throat being sealed, but also her labor begin.

She remembered seeing Obi Wan on her jet, but blacked out before she could find out what had become of her beloved husband.

She once again felt the pain not only from the birth, but of her heart break. The only man she had ever truly loved had tried to kill her. He was so close to succeeding too. But her children have her strength.

But all to soon that also was ripped from her.

The cries of her children as they were not only taken from her, but also as they were torn from each other rang through her ears.

She also felt a hate for the man she had once loved fill her broken heart. The man who she had never meant to love. Who she also couldn't help but fall in love with. He had broken not only her heart, but also her spirit.

Padmè shot up suddenly, now finding herself in a dark bedroom. Blood pounded through her head as she tried to make out her surroundings. In the darkness of the large room, she could see the outline of a door.

After she had fully gained her bearings, she went to the door, attempting to get out, but she found it to be locked. She tried to pick it, but it was far more advanced than most.

She banged against the hard medal in an attempt to get someone, anyone, to help her reach her freedom.

"Vader, you are a dead man!" Shouted Padmè from the top of her lungs while she made as much noise as possible.

After hours of trying without any outcome, she fell into a heap on the cold floor.

"Maybe I should've died on Polis Massa. It would've been better for all of us." Padmè thought as she have up, but then she reprimanded herself.

"No! I can't think like that! The twins would never know me or even know of each other. I couldn't have that. They need me more than ever now. I will escape. And I will take my babies away from here. Even if it kills me this time!" She said to herself as her mind grew tired from the days events.

Soon Padmè slowly drifted into a restless sleep.

Luke and Leia Skywalker were snuggled up in bed on their shared room for the night.

Vader had told his daughter that she wouldn't have to stay there for more than one night because her new room would be finished by the next evening. Leia did not protest, for she fell in love with the idea of having a brother.

They had gotten into separate beds, but halfway through the night, Leia had had a nightmare of an evil black clothed being that was hurting their mother, and couldn't sleep anymore.

Luke, being kind like his mother in spirit, offered to let his sister sleep in his bed for the night. Leia agreed and hopped into the empty space on Luke's large mattress.

She slept in safety now, close to her brother as she had always now wanted to be.

Luke however, was restless and still couldn't get over how much his life had changed on such little time.

He went from fearing Darth Vader, to loving him in a way only a son could.

And now he had a mother, and not only that, but a sister? He felt blessed, but there was an odd pang of guilt and anger.

He felt so much, he had experienced every emotion possible as he stared up at the dark ceiling lit only by the hellfire glow sneaking into the slits in the dark curtains.

His mind rushed from one thought to another at lightning speed. He desperately wished for sleep, but it would not come to him that night.

Just like it refused to come to his father...

The Dark Lord of the Sith should not be feeling this way, or so Vader thought.

Finding his family, a family he was sure he had destroyed any chance of having, was alive and all within his castle.

How could the Force be so fickle?

One minute everything was ripped from his grasp twelve fateful years ago, and yet now, everything he had dreamt of were in the rooms along the hall.

His body was tired but his mind paid it no heed.

He was so grateful that his lovely Angel was alive. But yet, it hurt him. She hated him with a passion, a passion which was rightfully so.

He had nearly killed her, and he still hadn't forgiven himself for it, let alone her forgive him.

Why was this so complicated?

He so desperately wanted all of them to live happily together, but seemed like a figment of his imagination now.

And the there was the Emperor.

He knew he could not tell his master of his findings. He had already begun to train his son in the light, hoping that Luke would stay away from the path Vader had taken years ago.

He knew he was trapped in darkness, but that didn't mean his family had to be trapped with him.

His body had finally had enough before he fell into a deep slumber.
