I wake up to my alarm at 5 am. Jesus It's way too early but I have to get up. Being on an island resort, my girlfriend Lara back at home. I pack everything and jump into a taxi. I get to the airport and board on time. Today's Lara's Birthday and there's no way I'd miss it for the world. Funny thing too, I almost forgot yesterday that I was surprising her. Our friends back home were throwing a party and they all knew I was coming home except Lara of course.

I get out of my car from getting home. I open the door unlocking it and and "SURPRISE!!!!!". The lights are on and the crowd appears from behind stuff. The surprise nearly knocked me off my feet but quickly I regain balance. "Happy Birthday Lara". everyone says. "thanks guys this is great". I furrow my eyebrows, no Y/N. Y/N's brother B/N walks up to me. "hey lara Happy Birthday". He hugs me lightly. "thanks B/N"..... "hey you okay?" he asks. "yeah.....no, yeah I just kinda wish Y/N was here....". "yeah I am, I wouldn't miss your birthday for the world, you know that". Her smile grows bigger. I pull her into a deep kiss. I wrap my arms around her waist and hers around my middle to upper torso. We pull away for air. "oh god I love you, you have no idea how much I missed you". "I know I missed you too and unfortunately I don't have the vocabulary to describe how much I love you too". "that was cheesy, even for you Y/N". "oh ha ha". I bring her in for another kiss HTTYD2 style. she smirks a little into the kiss. " Don't worry you'll get your present later...". I say. "you're already here and there's no bigger present you could give me". she smiles softly. "mmhmm, okay whatever you say, c'mon we'll get some food".
2 hours later
