/Arrival at planet Cambari./
Once they arrived at the planet safely they were introduced to a small island.
95% of the planet was water so going under water was inevitable. Allura went with Shiro and Coran stayed at the castle, the castle was hidden on one of the islands with a protective barrier. After landing on the surface below, they got out of their lions.
"D'You think we'll see mermaids again, Lance? Maybe they'll have food! Hopefully it doesn't come from a brainwashing.. worm.. thing..? It won't right? I've had food attack me more than once I really don't need it to attack again-" Hunk had the right to rant after what they saw at Baku Garden. Before Hunk could continue his food tangent, Keith got impatient.
"Hunk. Calm down. I don't think we'll have time for food or souvenirs anyway." Keith said, a little irritated, but that tone went away with his follow up question. "You guys saw mermaids?"
Now it was time for the blue boy to speak.
"Oh my god did we not tell you about it? Hunk didn't believe I saw one!! Hunk and I decided to follow her, she led us to the queen and we visited the castle. They were really nice about us visiting and made us a *lot* of food. It felt so.. Safe and warm..," Lance trailed off and then shook out of it, "We ended up getting hypnotized and three of the coolest mermaids saved us! I had to fight Hunk while he was under hypnosis, it was honestly really freaky." He rambled. "And of course your favorite Loverboy-Lance over here landed a kiss for being so heroic and saving the day." He grinned thinking over his time there, he felt so content back then. He should visit that planet again to say hello.
"Of course," Keith said with a sigh, rolling his eyes.
Hunk continued to ramble about the hypnotizing worm garden and Keith lost himself in thought for a moment, but it didn't last long before he got distracted by a school of fish swimming toward a big light. "Coran do you know where the signal came from?" As soon as they asked they got coordinates and started heading to the location that the distress signal came from. Once they reached their destination, they saw Five aliens. Lance's eyes landed one of the aliens who he found super attractive. The Alien had blue skin, he was a little taller than Lance, he had curly fluorescent hair, and an uppercut hairstyle so the bottom half was a darker blue. He was beautiful in Lance's opinion. Lance remembered what Allura said in the castle but payed her words no mind. Usually, when he flirts it was at least somewhat smooth, but when he really, really, finds someone attractive, his flirting was kind of terrible. But he tried anyway.
To start, he walked up and asked,
"We got your distress signal, we're the paladins of Voltron, and we came to help." He grins, "I actually specialize in assisting people with their problems, you can call me anytime, The names Lance." With a flirtatious tone he looked the guy up and down, then met his gaze. That earned a punch in the shoulder from Shiro and a face-palm from Keith, but at least he got the point across. The alien raised a brow with an amused expression and a small smirk.
"Names' Lilarc, This is my crew." He gestures to the other four,
"And your friends!"
He looked at his companion who cut him off and smiled, "And my friends. We've been in hiding for movement." He expressed, "Zarkon took the rest of our civilization as prisoners and we need to see if there'd be a way to get one of our ships working so we can go back up to the surface figure out a plan." Lilarc kept glancing at Lance. It went unnoticed by Lance, but as fate would have it, Keith noticed for sure and spoke next,
"Well," Keith said in a more hostile tone than he might've realized, accompanied by a short huff. "Lead the way." He glared at Lilarc and looked between Lance and Lilarc multiple times. One of the girls spoke up.
"I-I can lead you all there if you'd like." She smiled kindly "I'm Hasel, and we can use my ship for spare parts if needed. It already has our belongings." She waved at them with her fin so they knew to follow her and Lance hung back to talk to Lilarc.
"Movements, huh? You guys have been here for a while, how've you been keeping busy?" He leaned against the wrecked ship, trying to make himself less nervous and seem more comfortable.
Lilarc had a somewhat smug impression, like he could tell the tone behind Lances words was flirtatious. "We've just been trying to conserve energy, trying to plan out which parts we need replaced to get er' up and running." He took this opportunity to trace his eyes up and down Lance, it was only fair. Lance noticed and couldn't help but blush a little, he could feel the other boys gaze wherever his eyes landed. "So," Lilarc met his eyes again. "You're a pretty attractive guy, where are you from?"
"A-Ah thank you." He brought his hand up to scratch the back of his neck, looking to the side sheepishly. "I'm from planet earth, it's light years away from here though. They call us Humans." Lance recalling his little blue planet, smiling for what felt like the first time in a while. Lilarc was nice! And he didn't try to steal the Lions? Score!
"Lance," Li broke off a piece of what looked like bioluminescent coral. "Can I see your hand?" Without hesitation, Lance gave him his hand without giving it much thought,
"Sure!" Lances voice cracked as Lilarc took his hand, he felt his cheeks flush a little but chose to ignore it.
On the back of his hand Li wrote four numbers, and in the other he placed a communion device.
"If you ever wanted to call me," Li said winking, still holding Lances hand. Neither of them seemed to notice, and if they did they certainly didn't mind.
Lance nodded and looked to the ground, unable to ignore the warmth in his face and too stunned to reply. He felt a hand guide his chin back upward and his eyes met Lilarcs once again, this time a lot closer. His breath hitched,
-Meanwhile with the other Paladins-
"It should be ready in a couple of Doboshes! I'm almost done with the major repairs! You guys got lucky, only a couple of fuses got disconnected, there are also some modules out of place, shouldn't be a problem though." Hunks voice was muffled, I mean he was under a ship so,
"You really know your stuff." "Good job, Hunk!"
Shiro and Allura said.
Keith yawned, he felt drained. He stayed up most of the night thinking about La- Lamps! He was thinking about Lamps, so he trained to take out his feeling and didn't sleep.
-A couple doboshes later-
"Alright, your ship should be ready." Hunk said banging his fist against the exterior.
"Thank you, I'll go tell Lilarc and the others. We're all so very grateful!" Hasel wandered off to get the others, the paladins followed. As they were, something caught Keith's eyes. Mostly out of sight, in a corner, Keith saw Lance pinned against a wall kissing Lilarc. Keith was not happy about that sight. At all.
"Hey, Lucky cargo pilot!" He spat, "Get your mind out of your pants so we can get out of here!" Li pulled away from Lance, brushing his cheek with his thumb, Lances eyes fluttered open to meet his soft gaze, he quickly looked away, a little embarrassed. And with the complete opposite amount of tenderness, Lilarc glared at Keith. Keith reciprocated the hateful look, and stormed off towards the team that failed to notice that entire interaction.
"S-sorry I've got to go, I'll message you!" He ran off waving, with a soft smile. After that they took off in their lions. and Li, Hazel, and their friends took off as well, making sure to thank hunk for the repairs, and Pidge for adding new tech that should help prevent this from happening again. When they got back to the surface, the castle was still there but the Paladins saw some of the lights were purple. Oh no.. They went in as soon as they could and looked for Coran and couldn't find him. They searched the entire castle, but couldn't find a trace of him until Lance remembered his experience with the cryo-pods and he ran to let Coran out.
"T-The castle got breached, Two Galra locked me in here and I don't know what they did to the Castle!"
