After all that hard work, everyone should have a little something, right? But if you're completely not wanting anything in return because you're that nice of a person then I applaud you for having that kind of attitude. But still, what fun could it be if you actually won and get these miniature prizes? It's like working for a paying job and you want a little bit out of it, right? Writing the story can be the same with coming up with characters, ideas, story plot, and other wise of everything else that goes into writing. Yes? Yes. Especially those self-writers who took their time to pour their heart out into a story because they believe that it's a story that should be told. Even if no one else could see the same way as you, you just have to work harder at it even if you don't get the recognition yet. Just... we all have a long way to go.
Okay, so prizes. I have each kind of prizes that will go for winners that earn their way to the top. And for the rest, you're not a loser! Your stories are great, I'm sure, but there could be more room for improvement and that's okay. We have that setback in life and we're just not ready to be out there because how embarrassing would it be for others to read something that you wrote that isn't your complete best work. I know that feeling. This is probably a wake up to say, what could make my story more noticeable in a way that's different from the rest and how do I want to write my story to convey the message I'm trying to send. If this isn't every author's mind when thinking to write their story... that's disappointing. This is just a reminder that win or lose, you're still a story author who's writing these for fun and enjoyment so that you could take a look at your work and be proud of it. Remember that.

Just because you're not a winner doesn't mean you're not great. Again, this is just a message saying that your story could always use a revision and it perhaps will brighten your perspective. I didn't mean by changing your story but adding more eloquent details to make the story sound smoother and a lot clearer.
And in case I have to tell you this so you don't think bad about yourself thinking that your story wasn't enough to be the top. Here's something to remember.
Every story started off with an idea and an imagination in mind that people have to bring those ideas and imaginations in mind to come into life.
