Cassie's POV
one week later
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
The whole week I had stayed with my sister at my parents house we did nothing but clean and some well needed sisterly bonding. I turned my phone off for the rest of my stay after that night I spoke to Zack. I didn't want to be bothered and felt like I owed all my attention to Megan. We managed to get the house sorted on time for the seller to agree on the asking price. Megan wired the full amount into my bank account so I could sort myself out asap but she was having to wait for the deal to go final with the seller to get the money back. I did refuse at first but she insisted. What are sisters for?! I got off the coach and signalled for a taxi outside to take me back to the bar. Once I arrived Linds was stood outside waiting for me happy. "Hey girl!" She squealed pulling me into a hug. I paid the taxi driver and headed inside with my bags. I stopped when I saw Zack wasn't there. "He moved out honey" Linds mentioned noticing my disapointment. "Why?" my voice cracked. "I don't know honey. All I know is he has some friends that needed his help around the house or something. He is still working here so don't you worry ... ok?" She reasured. I took my bags upstairs and headed back down to the bar grabbing the staff laptop to check my emails. I opened the tab to see I had recieved an email about an offer on a house I made. Excited I opened it We are happy to confirm your offer has been accepted. The property is yours as soon as you have filled out all necasary paper work. "I got the house!" I shrieked causing Linds to rush over to me to see. "Your moving out too?" She asked looking a bit sad. I stuttered a bit unable to answer seeing how she didn't want me to go. "Where is the house?" She continued. "It's just down the road on that nice little street, I am using the money from my parents house to buy it" I quietly answered back feeling bad. Linds turned to smile at me in support. I could tell she was still upset but I knew she understood I was going to be moving out eventually. "I am so happy for you! So when you going to sign the papers?" she smiled acting excited for me. "Well actually I was thinking I would go now. That way I can arrange for any work to be done on the house if need be and for furniture to be delivered" I smiled shyly closing the laptop. "Have you even seen the house yet?" Linds asked confused. "Well I have seen pictures of it, but I have always liked the look of that house from the outside, it is close for work and I knew it had been up for sale for a long time. Nobody ever wants a house right next to the bars so I knew my offer would be excepted. I have the money to fix it up if it is a dump" I explained hoping Linds would agree. She nodded at me and pulled me into a hug as I came to my feet.
I ran upstairs to grab any ID I may need and other documents and headed down the street to the estate agents before they closed for the day. I headed inside hoping I had got there in time to see a pretyy blonde tidying up the main front desk. "Hi how may I help you?" She smiled politely at me. "I got an email stating my offer on a property had been excepted and I came to sign all the paper work" I smiled back. "Name please?" she asked sitting at a computer on the desk. "Cassie Smith" I smiled taking a seat oposite her. The blonde girl looked at me like she knew me somehow and smiled without saying a word before continuing to bring up my details. "Ok so have you viewed the property yet?" I shook my head no "But there is no need. I have had my heart set on that house for a while now and what ever state it is in inside I don't mind. If it needs fixing up it gives me something to do" I smiled back hoping this would be good enough. She smiled in return as she began printing off some forms. "Well I can tell you myself it is a beautiful house, very modern inside doesn't need any work apart from personal touches here and there" I smiled back as she handed me the paper work and instructed for me to read through as she took copies of my ID and other documents. I scanned through the papers quick paying attention to the important stuff. "Ok sign there and there. Also there and there" I signed where instructed and handed the papers over. "Ok Miss Smith the house is now yours" She smiled handing me a bundle of keys. "Thank you" I smiled as I got oto my feet. I shook her hand as she began to look at me even more confsuingly. "Could I ask you something Miss Smith?" I nodded stopping before exiting. "Do you know Zack Baker?" I froze like a deer in headlights. Why would she ask me that? "Yeah, why?" I whispered. "Oh sorry to intrude but he is a friend of my fiance and he is currently staying with us. I just recognised your name from conversation" I felt my heart sink at that moment. "What has he been saying about me?" I whispered trying to hide my anger. "Oh nothing bad, he always says good things about you."She smiled feeling awkward now. "My names Valerie by the way" She smiled again. "Nice to meet you, I would love to stay and chat but I have stuff to take care of. Tell Zack I said hi" I smiled trying to hide my anger towards his name. I walked out of the door as fast as I could without looking obviouse and headed down towards my new house. Why had he been talking about me to toher people? Did he really say nice things or was she just saying that? I didn't care any longer once I got outside my new house.
