Heartbeat Or Break

They came towards us and I could see Pha with ice pink milk in tow. We were currently only sitting on a baby blue soft blanket picnic cover, this made the ground a lot more bearable to sit on. Once they reached us, Pha moved closer to sit next to Yo, the opposite side of him. To my dismay Kit sat next to Phana and furthest away from me and I frowned at this.

"Pha I'm tired so I'm borrowing your lap or leg to rest" Kit said pulling at Pha's right leg.

"Aww P'Kit Kat you can lay on my lap if you want" I offered.

Receiving, "No your lap would not be comfortable and I don't want to lie in your lap" as a reply to my kind offering.

"I'm hurt" I feigned being wounded melodramatically, falling to the floor and doing a sit up to get back up again.

"Ming. You are my best friend but let me tell you this. Can you stop being so fit, strong and athletic and please discontinue going to the gym every hour of the day because you're making me look bad", Wayo joked.

Pha then being his charming self to Yo, saying "You are too cute and no amount of fat will make you anything less than cute and perfect in my eyes". I swear for a second you could see hearts in Yo's eyes and if only I could create that same effect the on Kit.

I watched as Kit resumed the action of going to lean on Pha and succeeding in stealing Pha's leg to comfort and support his head.

"He is very tired lately because he is kept up late at night by his thoughts recently and he is not used to the reduction in hours of sleep he gets", Pha attempted to explain why the brunette was so sleepy.

It was not a long while, but the gentle and soft snores the brunette was making, could be heard by the group.

Then shortly after a faint bubbling could be heard from Wayo's area since he had started giggling with the straw in his mouth at the calm sight of a sleeping kitty cat. Kit sleeps very much so like a cat as his small snores sound like purring and his body is curled up into a ball of some sort.

"Nong Ming, come over here for a second", he beckoned for me to lean towards him, I had to lean over Yo but he was too happy and content with his ice pink to notice. "Can you take Kit as I am a bit uncomfortable and I want to sit closer and maybe lean on Yo", he whispered his offer and I hastily nodded my head.

"I'll hold his head while you swap", who apparently heard everything and  putting down his drink Wayo made a move to hold the sleeping boy's head. When he did so Pha shifted quickly out of the space and I wiggled fast into the now empty space between his head and the blanket and Wayo moved his head down slowly so he wouldn't wake up still.

"My P'Kit Kat and I want to eat you all up because you so small and cute" I whispered under my breath. I started to stroke my hands through his hair and he moved his hands in his sleep to cling to my leg like a koala and adjusted his head so he would be more comfortable and I continued to play with his hair, which was incredibly soft like fur, but fitting for a kitty cat.

I watched Pha and Yo and they were bickering quietly about who lies on whose lap in which both of them wanted to lie on the others lap. Wayo had finished his ice pink milk so he proposed a solution of 'rock, paper scissors', which Pha won, resulting in him lying on Yo's lap and Yo pouting and mumbling on how he wanted a rematch and complaining about the end result in general, but eventually settling down and combing his fingers through Pha's hair and playing with strands of his hair by placing it between two of his fingers.

I looked around and saw Beam and Forth walking towards us from a distance. Forth carrying an empty bottle of what used to be lemonade. I waved to them with the hand I had free, while with the other I continued to run my fingers through his brown hair and I realized his hair was like chocolate, which I realized that made him look even more like a kit kat.

Forth sat down with his legs crossed and Beam sat with his legs to the side leaning on Forth. I wanted to ask out loud but it didn't seem very appropriate as they were both upperclassman so I moved my fingers to suggest they were a couple and they confirmed my suspicion by nodding while smiling and grinning and it was infectious almost since I started smiling right after with them.

I saw movement from Pha who was awake and attempting to lie on the middle of Yo's lap, which was failing until Yo adjusted his position to support Pha. So now everyone was awake but Kit who was clutching my thigh and nuzzling it with his nose and I wish he would do this with my torso when he awake but that wasn't likely to happen.

"Nong Ming, why do you look at Kit in that way", Forth asked only to get shoved by his boyfriend Beam.

"Can't you see he likes him as more than a friend? Problem is that Kitty is not one to open their heart easily as it is very fragile and he also gets jealous easily as once in high school, he wanted the last kit kat from the vending machine but a boy got it and he gave death glares to the boy all day and complained to me all night long about how he 'stole' his kit kat".

"I'm sure I was that boy as I somehow remember being stared at intensely for one day and not knowing why I was being stared at with such contempt. That makes sense now you told me because I always wondered who and why they were staring at me after I went to the vending machine", I was surprised that it was Kit that had been staring me down into the ground in high school that one day.

I felt shifting on my lap and assumed Kit was waking up, but then I realized how he was meant to be on P'Pha's lap.
